Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the Omnidirectional Flat-Panel HDTV Indoor Antenna's reception, picture quality, and ease of use. Many also found it easy to install and appreciate its compact design. However, some customers noted that signal strength and range could be improved, and a few felt the price was high. The optimal placement of the antenna for best reception also required some experimentation.

This does get channels I did not get before. However, it has a limited range despite being omnidirectional and the plug-in kind. I still cannot get ABC or PBS stations because they're about 15-20 miles away. You have to play around with it for a while to find the optimum place to get clear pictures.

Works if you are close to your broadcast towers

I live about 16 miles from the towers in Portland. I walked into Best Buy actually looking at a different antenna and one of the employees recommended this product instead noting that they had no returns on it. I went ahead and got it and the one I came in after. I thought I'd try this one because it was easier to setup and I didn't have to get up in the attic. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I tried multiple rooms with this antenna and could only get half of the channels I wanted. I then did what I was hoping not to have to do and put it high up in the attic and ran a brand new premium shield guarded line down to my office. I received moderately better results. I then attempted to calibrate the orientation a little finer by using my phone as a compass. That still didn't yield all the channels I wanted. I did get alot that I would never watch and was a total of around 32. Frustrated after 2 nights of working with it, I took it down and put the ClearStream 2V that I originally went in for in it's place. Blam, 54 channels including all of the Network stations I had originally sought. All in 97% or better signal strength according to my tuner. I'm sure this tuner works well for those that are closer to their broadcast towers, however I appear to be on the edge of what this unit would work with. One thing I wasn't over thrilled with was that it has an inline booster, which means you need to keep it near a plugin. A trade off I suppose for it's compact design and in room type of unit.

Took a few tries to find the best placement but once I did it works great. I get all the channels I wanted, abc, cbs, nbc, fox. I won't go back to paying high cable bills again.

I have two different antennas from same company Trek. My older one works better than this one. This one has sharp look as my other one looks kind of like traditional with few blades on it. But when it comes to the price and signal catching my classic one is the winner.

This tv is easy to operate. Nice pitcher on tv . My only complaint is that I think my tv has a problem with it turner. I can not get a antenna to pick up anything where the other in the same house does pick up. Great for a second home. I will have it checked out when I go back to the second home.

I live 35-45 miles from most of the Philadelphia television towers, and this TERK antenna is able to pick up more than half of those TV signals quite well. I was hoping to get ALL of the channels, of course, but 70% or whatever isn't bad. The antenna was quite easy to put together, connecting it to the television was a breeze, and it's actually fairly stylish looking. Is it as good as a large outdoor antenna? Of course not, but for the money it's pretty decent. If you live closer to where the television signals emanate, hopefully you'll have even more success with this product.

This antenna is the fourth antenna (and the last) one I have purchased since moving into my new apartment. In my old place I had an inexpensive HD antenna and it picked up all the local over the air channel (not paying for cable). In this new place no antenna seemed to work until I purchased the TERK antenna. Now I am able to view 11 of the 15 over the air HD channels available in my area. I am still playing with the positioning of the antenna (in order to get the last 4 channels). More than I wanted to spend but it beats a monthly cable bill.

Gave this product to my mother for Christmas. She already had an antenna because she doesn't have cable but she wasn't getting good reception. I was hopeing this would solve her problem. The picture is absolutely better but some of the channels still lose the signal like her other antenna. Had high hopes but I am kinds disappointed

I bought an antenna without the "booster" capability but it didn't work well on some channels. When i purchased this antenna I was able to set it up and forget about it. It works very well for my needs. I'm happy with it.

Bought for my mother in law who wasn't using much of her cable channels and raising the rates again. Found this recommended by one of the staff, ( recommended over the more expensive ones). And it works great! Easy to hook up and channels are extremely clear. We are about 20 miles from Chicago and cannot get channel 2 and 5 can be weak. But she has about 30 other channels and local sub channels 7.2, 9.2, 9.3 etc. we were told this before. And she didn't care. An outside antenna would rectify I am told. The only thing is it said in instructions, lying flat was best, for her it was standing up. I feel it would have been even stronger for channel 5 if I could have mounted it as high as possible on the wall. She did not want that. If I didn't have sports freak sons, I would go this route. Between my Roku and Netflix, I would have way more than I need and save hundreds every year.

So far one of the better indoor antenna I've used. I'm in DTLA and so far it picks up most of the VHF and UHF signals. I prefer this over the mohu leaf because it doesn't need a window to stick to.

The Terk antenna works great. We receive 20+ channels(the major local networks, NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC, CW, etc.) with little to no reception problems. If there is a signal issue, moving the antenna 1 inch usually fixes it. We live in an apartment and the tv and antenna are on an interior wall not near any windows and still have no issues. Great! And it's free!

Good antenna that does not need any adjusting. Sometimes, user has to move the antenna to get a clearer reception. Can't seem to get channel 7, but the other channels are very sharp and clear.

We moved to a small town about 40 miles away from the city where the stations are broadcast from. Our old antennae was only able to pick up 2 channels. I decided to try this one out to see if we could get any more and was very pleased to find out we are able to get all of the major networks and a few extra channels as well. My only complaint is that even though it says omni-directional, it does take very precise positioning to get some of the channels to come in.

The product was easy to set up. Most channels come in clear without distortion. A couple are sketchy and/or don't come in frequently. Happy overall though.
