Great movie can’t believe it was as cheap as I found it

Lots of jump scares.......thought the ending was cool

Choice for the lead in this but once things get going it doesn't bother me as much. This movie was quite ambitious as to create different shots but include the scares of the original. I'll never forget watching the original it film class back in college thinking that it looked exactly like a real home movie someone shot themselves. This one has a completely polished feel but still a greedy finish to it that allows it to capture the same feeling. The kills are intense and YouTube care about some of the characters which always helps. I'm a sucker for new packaging too and this one had a slip sleeve.

With all the horror remakes that happen over the past years or even decades. This one seems not to be talk about and not even mention. Cause it’s a pretty good remake. It captures all the tense feeling from the first one. Add more characters and more story to them. Making that whole movie feel alive. Its done perfectly and make me wonder why Freddy and Jason remakes were so bad

When I first saw this remake, I was not impressed. I felt that it just didn't live up to the standards of the classic 1974 original. After years away from it, I recently rewatched it on the Blu Ray Disc and found that it was better than I remembered. Leatherface was one big bad killing machine in this. And Old Monty was such a fun character. I still don't think it's as good as the original, but it has some great moments and it's effective. The Video quality on Blu Ray is Really good with a nice sharp video presentation and clear impressive audio. And this disc is FULL of bonus features all about making the movie, on the set, everything! If you love bonus features, this disc does not let you down.

This is a retelling of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre with a more modern feel. Each actor does a decent job with the script they were given but it's not as great as the original. What made the original work so well was the atmosphere and how graphic scenes weren't too fleshed out. In this remake the gore is plenty and the scenery is kind of lost in favor of it. It's still a good remake compared to other terrible remakes of older movies but it doesn't capture the feel of the original movie. If you're a fan of Jessica Biel then it's a bonus point. Personally I'm not but her performance wasn't too terrible given the context of the movie.

Upgraded to the bluray on this one. Everything looked good and sound was a nice upgrade but felt like it could have been a little better. But a real horror fan should enjoy this movie or those who love the texas chainsaw massacre should have this for there collection.

I wish it had a slip cover but still a great value for the money

Excellent movie to watch with your spouse if you're into slasher movies. This was one of the better ones of the series, and a fantastic deal if you catch it on sale around halloween. Worth it even at full price.

Very few films age well over time and this happens to be one that successfully aged. Maybe not like fine wine but more like aged wood to make BBQ with. This was the second best TCM ever and it is quite nice to watch on any evening at home when you are in a horror movie kind of mood.

Now this remake I would have to say knocks it out of the ballpark. There's been a lot of remakes of the classics but this one is among that delivers quite well.

This is not your father's texas chainsaw massacre. This version deviates from the documentary style photography of the original. This helps a lot in the visuals which are much more visceral than the original. The plot remains the same. The image quality is top notch. The sound is outstanding.

The Texas Chainsaw remake featuring Jessica Biel was really one of the first successful movies to pull of the horror-remake craze. The blu ray, at a great price, as an easy to decision to upgrade from my previous dvd copy. The movie is chilling and the blu ray transfer is crystal clear.

Decent slasher/horror film.The remake doesn't deviate all that much from what you'd expect out of this genre. Brutally violent, a little silly at times but that's what you know going in. Top notch picture and audio on the blu-ray. Overall, if you like this genre it's worth a watch.
