calculator with functions and graphics ideal for my needs

I'm an engineer student and needed a CAS calculator. I'm going to be using this calculator for YEARS so I hope this one makes it. So far it works great. Battery last long time (have only charged it once). Only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is the price, very expensive for a calculator. I would not reccomend it to a friend for the same reason, too expensive. I'm sure you can find a cheaper one that does the job as well as this one.

I am a math major and this calculator is extremely useful in checking my work in higher level classes. More intuitive to use than the TI84, copy and paste functionality is one of my favorites. Also makes matrices easy to work with, as well as indefinite integrals, which the TI 84 cannot compute. Really great for analyzing real world models, too. Definitely a must have for me.

This makes life so much easier. It helps that you can work on stuff while on the road. I love how you can multi task especially since I have a math and Chem Class going on. I recommend this to anyone whether in middle school or in college

Learning this calculator can be a bit tricky at first, as few around me seem to have this machine to be able to help, but with a bit of digging around, the display reveals itself to be quite user friendly, and the Computer Algebra System is quite a boon when Calculus gets involved. With it being allowed on the SAT and AP tests, this thing is one of the most versatile and useful machines on the market and a must have for any higher level mathematics student.

This was purchased as an AP math tool for my grand daughter. She is in math honors classes in high school and needs a good scientific calculator. I used Texas Instruments (TIs) calculators in college and knew they worked very well and have multitudes of features. I researched current TIs and this one sounded awesome-it is! She was quite pleased to get it and was going over the features just before starting school. She LOVES it! The only problem is that its a bit bulky and most rubber/gel covers have great colors and designs but obstruct keys' names/labels. If not familiar with the keys, there would be a problem having a "pretty" calculator but not knowing which keys did what. Overall, this thing ROCKS...well worth the price!

This is a very complex and useful calculator. Learning curve is extensive though. I bought this for my daughter who is in advanced math classes and it threw her for a loop. Basically needed a class on the use of this calculator. Very powerful once you get the hang of it. even using basic calculator functionality is not intuitive. Buyer beware!

This calculator is able to solve any equation or function that I give it, but initially learning how to use the calculator was kind of complex. However, after learning how to use it the process became a lot quicker and simpler. Also the battery life is very good and the layout of the buttons and functions are placed for easier use.

I bought this for my son to use in Calculus. It was such an improvement for him. It's cut the time he needs to complete his work down significantly. He's using it for Physics as well.

I've purchased a TI-83, 84 Plus, 86, and a 89 Titanium, but this is by far the best calculator I've ever owned. It seems much closer to being a computer than a calculator. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because the outer shell seems more fragile than I would like and the cover is hard to slide off sometimes. I purchased a carrying case, so mine is still in perfect condition.

A must have, useing it for precal and caculus at the college level makes doing calculations much simpler, this is my second ti inspire I bought the regular cx now I have the cx cas very great tool buy this

It does everything i need for my college courses..

This is a great device for schoolwork, but the specific calculator I received has problems with the clear screen staying in place. Every couple days, the clear part of the screen will pop out of place, and I have to put it back in place. Besides that inconvenience, this calculator is very useful!

Scientific calculator with the ability to emulate TI84 Plus CE, every function available, including engineering. Currently, is not approved for the ACT, but only for the SAT.

Had older version and I just wanted a newer and better version. The upgrade is well worth the money. Able to do more functions and it makes solving problems easier

We purchased this great graphing calculator for our son for his use in his differential calculus coursework at college. He spent many hours reviewing the options and decided this particular CAS model was the one for him. Pricing was very good at Best Buy and so we ordered it online. It came quickly, ahead of schedule and was in perfect shape. He has used it with great pleaseure ever since.

Bought this TI-NSPIRE Graphing Calculator for my son who is off to UT to become an Enviormental Engineer. He tells me that it is fun, perfect for his Engineering classes. He has been testing it out and is breaking it in for his first year of College. He can't wait to put it under the test.
