From the time the 2011 America's Got Talent winner opened his mouth, it was clear he was blessed with a great set of pipes, and sounded just like, um, FRANK SINATRA!!! So it was no surprise that Eugene's debut CD is a tribute to the consummate legend. We've heard all these songs before, jazz standards by Cole Porter and other Big Band era composers, plus a couple of '60's chestnuts (the title track, and Frank's duet with his daughter, "Something Stupid"). Eugene tends to play it safe, sticking mostly to the original arrangements, although in the bass registers we hear less of Frank and more of Eugene (a bit of Barry White mixed in). Hearing these songs again brought a smile to my face (I wish "New York, New York" had found its way onto this collection). But with such innate talent, I'd like to hear what Eugene can do on his own.

I watched and rooted for Landau every week on AGT and was excited to see his first album. The songs we have all heard before but with a new, very wonderful sound. Very enjoyable.

saw him on television, voted for him a number of times. He seems to be very personable, and is definitely a great singer. I know he will become a great inspiration to others.

This guy can really sing. Right on target with his remakes of songs by the rat pack. FANTASTIC CD. Best have bought recently. He deserved to win the big prize.
