Wow! This is certainly not your average race relations movie. The character’s stories were developed, rounded, and acted exceptionally well.... for the most part. Trai Byers, Williamson, McRae, and King were clear standouts in a great cast. Trai Byers had an amazing performance full of range and emotion. I was surprised that he (Andre Lyon), from Empire) was a co-writer as well! From watching a few earlier episodes I knew he had something special. I can’t wait to see what he does next. Wow! No one on this movie is completely innocent and guilt is a matter of opinion. There were a couple of holes I’d like to see filled. And I would have loved to have seen this cast with a bigger budget. But I’m not upset at all! This movie was timely, and I’d never even heard of this story. Definitely one to watch.
