The idea of an alien race destroying the world in waves is a cool premise, but telling the story from a teen's point of view made it all the more engaging.

The movie was decent but not as good as the book. It's similar to the I am number 4 movie with how well it was made compared to the book. Good but not amazing

Part of the premise of this movie lacks believability which I can't go into detail about without spoilers. Still, it's enjoyable due to the strong cast.

SyFy story that is well done and interesting to watch. Invading aliens and survival story from the point of view of a young girl and how she deals with it.

The movie started off a little slow then it jumped right into the action. Didn't think I would like it but I did and looking forward to the sequel.

Chloë Moretz excels as always with her acting, but sadly does not have much to work with in terms of screenwriting and directing in this film (not her fault). If the book had been more closely followed and the movie hadn't taken a B-Movie angle on some of the special effects, this could have been The Hunger Games to Moretz's Jennifer Lawrence. But alas, it seems we will have to continue to wait for Moretz to become known for more than just Hit-Girl.

This is the first movie in a series, it does a great job of introducing the characters and setting up the next movie. Plenty of action and drama,

The movie wasn't a blockbuster but was still a great story with some A list actors, definitly worth adding to your sci-fi collection.

My husband and I both really enjoyed this movie. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. Ready for a second movie to come out.
