Finally, these classic adventures remastered

These are films that many of us grew up watching. Much like the Star Wars series which George Lucas also wrote, this series was always more about fun than grandeur, but thanks to great casting and interesting writing, the grandeur eventually came of its own.
Raiders of the Lost Ark, the one that started it all, is about Dr. Indiana Jones, an archeology professor who moonlights as a treasure hunter, who is hired by a group of government men to find the mystical Ark of the Covenant before the Germans do, thereby becoming invincible. This film features more legendary scenes than nearly anything else in the past 20 years.
The Temple of Doom, a prequel to Raiders, concerns Jones getting lost in India with his young Chinese sidekick, Short Round, and a lounge singer from Hong Kong named Willie Scott. The band is recruited by a poverty-stricken village to go Bangkok palace to retrieve a supposedly magical stone that was stolen from the villagers. Once there, the group discovers that the palace is secretly hiding an evil cult and a child slavery ring.
The Last Crusade begins when Jones learns that his father has been captured during an attempt to find the Holy Grail. After Dr. Jones Sr. has been rescued, the film becomes a race to find the object before the Germans can.
This collection is very satisfactory. There is a disc reserved for special features, and much like the first Star Wars DVD set, there is a feature-length documentary that covers the production of the films. There is a new version being released with more special features. If you are willing to wait, that is probably the version to have. However, if you would rather get this one, the digital remaster on picture and sound make this version more than satisfactory.

Classic films even better on Blu Ray players!

The Indiana Jones films are fantastic, yes, but they are even more enjoyable when you play them on any Blu Ray player. When watching older films in either high definition format one always holds their breath that they may not be up to speed but that is not the case with these discs. They look fantastic! In today's world of over CGI'd effects like in "Transformers", etc. it is great to look back at the films of the godfathers of modern film and to see that even their classic films look better than the more recent films of the day is a true wonder indeed. Nobody does it like Spielberg, Lucas, and Ford and if you think you have anything to say against that...pop one of these classics into a Blu Ray player such as the PS3 and think again! The picture, sound, and overall experience is untouched by anything of recent modern releases.

classic good vs. evil

Of all the movies I remember watching while growing up, these three have to be way up there. I mean, Harrison Ford is as good of a hero as you can, or could, find. Good vs. evil in this case means "Indiana" Jones vs. Hitler's army (in two of the movies). Each of the three movies has great layouts, music, plots, and tons of action sequences to go along.
Must have for any action or adventure fan. Could be a great gift for any younger person as well as the older.

Indiana Jones... If you haven't watched it you should, if he's not your hero, he will be, and if you don't love the idea of being an archaeologist when you're through... watch it again. These movies contain adult humor but they are clean for those concerned with what kind of entertainment they allow in their homes and packed full of non-scary adventure.
Cheers

I've owned this set since it came out. This is one, if not the best trilogy of all time! The Indiana Jones Movies have it all: action, adventure, romance, suspense, comedy, drama and more. If you don't own these movies already, you should pick them up.

The story of Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) as he travels around the world looking for things "that belong in a museum." From the Lost Ark to the fabled cup of Jesus Christ. Entertaining to the last, recommended to anyone and everyone!

This is all three of the Indiana Jones movies in one package. These are some of the best movies thanks to the mind of George Lucas.

I didn't like having to buy the entire trilogy of 'Indiana Jones' movies as I only enjoyed the first film. I cannot recommend this set as I feel these titles should have been offered individually, especially considering how bad the two sequels were compared to the original.
