Despite the genre and subject matter, which doesn't usually interest me, this show is one of my new favorites. It is up there with True Detective in flawless execution. I think if this team did an eight-hour miniseries on how a cardboard box is made it would have audiences glued to their seats. They are just that good. I heard a quote somewhere from a famous composer or a musician who said that music is made in the silence between notes. I am paraphrasing, but this show exhibits the film version of that notion. The acting is fantastic, and the writing is even better, but the actual beauty of this story is how they tell it. This is obviously about an affair and the resulting consequences, but it is told from two different perspectives in a way that I've never seen before. It felt so fresh. My absolute favorite character in this show is the ever present discrepancy between the two versions. There are so many subtleties and layers to the story, and as each episode paints on another coat, the differences begin to mean so much more. You just have to experience it. There is so much trash on TV we are all standing in it up to our knees Once in great while a show reminds me that good television can be a work of art. This is one of those shows. Don't miss it. God only knows when another pearl will come along.

Loved the first season of this series with the particular extra of seeing an affair from both the man and the women's perspective. It's surprising how two people can view the same event so differently. Can't wait for season two.

The Affair: The Complete Second Season is even better than the first! It's intriguing storytelling through the way it is directed and edited gives the show and its characters a real authenticity. One of my personal favorite award winning shows on television!

I watched the first season and am curently watching the second. I was immediately caught up in the story. Having grown up in Long Island and been to Montauk added to my interest. I decided I had to have the DVD.

It's a good story about two married people having an affair and a murder happens also...It's told from each person's point of view which I don't like because you never know which one is accurate.

I recommend it highly. It was suspenseful and kept me captivated. Once I started it I watch it for several hours before stopping it to go to bed.

Good story, as told by the individuals in separate halves. Finding new love when love grows old. Highly recommended it. Will not give away spoilers just have to watch for yourself.

It gets a little long seeing both sides of the story. But that is what makes it so interesting. Seeing first hand how two people see there story.

This show sounded really interesting so I decided to get it. Watched the whole first season and loved it. Such a good show, I can't wait to see the next season.

This set was viewed and was a great story line. I watched it for at least 4 hours straight. Adults only should watch Strongly recommend for purchase

This is a great story. Very intriguing. After getting Season One, I had to immediately get Season Two......lot's of twists and turns....pay attention!

I haven't seen this but it was on sale for cheap so I figured I would check it out. I'm a huge fan of Ruth from Luther! She's a fantastic actress!

Original and suspenseful, The Affair delivers a fantastic story of all those who are effected when an affair begins. Excellent.

I literally binged watched this series in one day. I like how the different perspectives of the story of each party are told.

This is a really great show especially if you're a fan of relationship dramas and Joshua Jackson!

This show is all over the place. You never really figure it out and it leaves you wanting more.
