Complex story of human frailty, of love and death with the back drop being ww2 as a focal point as we should be sympathetic to the misery of the German people and the struggle they will endure..

The film is about the allied occupation following ww2 and a British officers wife who falls for a German man who’s house they live in .

Nothing special about this movie... Either the plot or acting. IMHO, very slow and not to surprising at all.

AFTERMATH was disturbing in that a wife so easily cheated on her husband. However, the ending was encouraging.
