So this movie is a reboot of the Spider-man superhero, the last of the Spider-Man movies being from 2002-2007. Now I wouldn't say this one is better than the original first row Spider-mans but this one was still good. I loved the actors and actresses that they brought in to play these characters they we're acted nicely. There are some great special effects in this movie along with some great action sequences. This movie came with a whole other disc filled with special features that I really enjoyed and just loved! The movie has some slow parts but the movie is still enjoyable!!!

A decent re-boot with great turns by Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. It does come a little too close to the heels of the Raimi movies, but in this superhero-centric cinematic landscape, we do need our Spidey. My big complaint is the design of the Lizard, one of the most iconic Spider-Man villains. Why did they make him look like he's straight out of Super Mario Brothers? I was bitterly disappointed by this - but still hopeful for the sequel(s). The Blu-Ray package can't be beat cost-wise and looks great, so it is a sound purchase to complete your collection.

I purchased this movie knowing the super hero movie franchises have gotten anything, but better. So I purchased this Spider-Man hoping not to find the same, and luckily I didn't. Luckily Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, and much of the rest of the cast pull this movie in and make it complete. Andrew Garfield is what I would have expected out of a Peter Parker. A nerdy, witty, and a bit of the smart aleck. Luckily for us this movie has portrayed the Spider-Man I grew up to and has left me wanting more after having seen what they can do with this and the new one coming up in a year or more featuring Paul Giammati.

After the disaster of Spider-Man 3, the series was in desperate need of new life. The Amazing Spider-Man serves to restart the franchise by casting Andrew Garfield in the role of Peter Parker, and while many may feel like they've seen this origin story before, it is told in a fresh enough way to enjoy. Garfield makes an ok Peter Parker, but Emma Stone makes a great Gwen Stacy and the two have great on screen chemistry. Overall The Amazing Spider-Man is a fresh start to a once great franchise, and is an enjoyable movie for action lovers.

I think a lot of people disliked this movie. I've heard a lot of negative reviews about the Amazing Spider-Man franchise in general but I really enjoyed this movie. Yes, Andrew Garfield probably doesn't look as nerdy as Peter Parker should, and yes he does end up with his mask off a lot. But I think it's a pretty good movie.. I mean don't get me wrong, the first movie, with Tobey McGuire was like 10 times better in comparison but if you forget about that movie and don't compare the two then The Amazing Spider-Man is pretty good

I love the movie despite what other people think of the TASM franchise however I ordered this movie and it’s a clear box and after removing the plastic the box was cracked and Best Buy would not exchange it for me. There words were, “the plastic is clear” yet the box is also clear. How do you see clear through clear?

This is yet another reboot of an existing and strong franchise. I really enjoyed the original 3 spiderman movies with Tobey and so was skeptical when this one came out. After seeing it though, and understanding that, similar to the comics, there are variations in the story arcs, this movie was actually both entertaining, well done and a pleasant change of perspective. From my view point, this new take on spiderman is a bit more serious than the previous outing, and I look forward to the future movies with Andrew Garfield in the lead.

Yes, the worse Spider-Man on the big screen but still had quality moments (i.e. Lizard Man origin, Gwen Stacy).

As this is the first time we see the web swinger in all his special effects glory, we are in awe. Tobey is good as Peter Parker - giving us someone to root for. Story wise, they could have dealt with the missing or dead parents as well as have Gwen (Peter's first girlfriend and her eventual death) to add more drama and as a catalyst for Peter wanting to fight evil. But overall, the first is very entertaining to all or most. Great fun with Willem Dafoe as the green goblin. Enjoy!

In my opinion, I'm glad they redid the Spiderman flics. I wasn't happy with the older versions for it seemed as if they were trying to cram too much into one movie. Plus they started to turn into really sappy love/romance movies. Don't care for that mess when it comes to Spiderman honestly. Yes, I know there's a relationship going on, but it doesn't need to take up the whole film. I was really pleased with this new remake. I also like the new actor much better. He seems to fit the part and isn't such a whiney crybaby.

The first time I saw The Amazing Spider-man I wasn't that crazy about it. It wasn't Tobey Maguire and he was the Peter Parker I'd come to know and love. However when I saw The Amazing Spider-Man a second time on Blu Ray I actually liked it better than the original. They have more CGI opportunities in 2012 than they did in 2002, and Spider-Man no longer moves like a Power Ranger. It's high flying action and if you take it as an original take on Spider-Man I think you'll love it.

The movie is good, but there are much better Spider-Man movies out there. While the 3D in and of itself is not great, the novelty of 3D is nice, especially for those with 3D TVs or ability to watch in 3D. I would recommend to 3D TV owners because 3D movies are getting harder and harder to find.

The storyline was great, and I really enjoyed the alternate origin story that included the mechanical vs. organic web shooters because I was a fan of the comic as a kid. The CGI and action sequences were all done amazingly well. Though somewhat predictable, the plot was well constructed and the acting was more than adequate to carry the movie to its inevitable conclusion. As a tech junkie I also liked all of the formats that came with this package so I can play it anywhere regardless of the device operating system.

I remember when this came out a lot of people made fun of the fact that we were getting a new Spider-Man so soon after Toby's ended. But this was a decent new origin story and Andrew is definitely an underrated Spider-Man.

While I love Sam Raimi's version of the web crawler, this movie brings new life to Peter Parker and his adventures. I do like the new angle where they show more of Gwen Stacy and her origins. I'm curious to see how accurate they'll portray her story arc. Good performances overall...the origin thing has been done to death, but it wasn't enough to stay away from seeing it. I initially didn't like the movie as much, but after seeing it again I changed my tune. Go spidey!

The Amazing Spiderman is probably my favorite in the series so far even though it is a reboot. Andrew Garfield makes a great Peter Parker and the rest of the cast is a breath of fresh air. The storyline is more fleshed than the previous movies in order to give more of a background to the Spiderman story and it is a welcome change. I am looking forward to the sequels. The BluRay has a great video/audio plus many informative behind the scenes features including a 90 minute documentary about rebooting the franchise.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the previews for another Spiderman so soon after Toby Maguire's excellent Spiderman trilogy. I thought, why would they DO THAT?? (Well, of course, MONEY!!!) So when I first saw this new Spiderman, I was very skeptical that I'd enjoy it as much as the Maguire trilogy. Surprise!!! I did - I walked out of the theater saying to myself - "I'm buying that movie!" And Best Buy offered a price I couldn't refuse. Thanks, Best Buy!!

I have always liked Spiderman. Even Though The trilogy Spiderman movies are good. The new ones in my opinion are the best I have ever seen. I like the really like the fact that they used the character of Gwen Stacey, since she was in the original Spiderman comics until she was thrown off the bridge by the Green Goblin. Mary Jane Watson never really entered the scene with Peter Parker until sometime after this tragedy. These new Spiderman movies have my vote.

I have always been a fan of spiderman, so I know his story very well. I enjoyed Rami's version of spiderman except for the fact that spiderman shot web out of his wrist instead of web shooters. Now in this reboot, the story seems to be very well written but it feels like a lot of things were still missing out the original story. I'm not going to spoil the story for anyone but IMO it is not better than the original spiderman but it is enjoyable.

I've always been a fan of the Spider-Man franchise. This reboot did not fail to carry the torch. Andrew Garfield is amazing. The featurettes and deleted scenes on the Blu-Ray are a must watch. The 3D Pop-Out effect is not that great which is why I deducted a star. Still a great watch and their are a few awesome uses of the technology. If you can get this for a nice price, be sure to pick it up.
