It's THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW! Near Perfect. Except for half of season six being ruined by a bad replacement for Don Knotts, this show is the perfect 60's show for the family to view on cold winter days or rainy summer Saturdays. No smart mouthed kids. No over-bearing in-laws. (Aunt Bea ain't bad). Don Knots is a delight for Five Glorious seasons. Andy avoids guns and just eases into the perfect role for him. Rarely was a show so good for its lead.

Series originally aired in late 1960. The show progressed through 8 seasons with cast changes, transitioned to color production about mid-series (1965), and remained faithful to the original concept of small-town daily living throughout the production run. Nothing since has been close in providing a family oriented 1/2 hour entertainment show suitable for everyone. Hurray for the "good ole days".

I grew up with these shows and watched many in syndication years after. Some of the comedy is dated and corny, but some is classic! The music is good. The memories are great. If you are a boomer, you may remember these shows. Like the Rascal Flatt's song says, "I miss Mayberry!" You don't have to with this collection.

I LOVE the Andy Griffith show, and this collection is great! The special features are lacking a bit, but what do you expect...the show is 50 years old. Still an incredible purchase....althought 100 bucks feels a little steep.

This set contains all 8 seasons and the pilot episode on 40 disc. I cant get the 4th show to play on my bluray player but works in all my other machines ?Elly comes to town is the episode, ive tried 3 sets and the same thing happens. Its at a very good price since when it first came out it was $235.98. I bought mine for $67.99. for 8 seasons that is hard to beat.

I enjoyed re-watching these old shows with my family. The lessons they teach are still valid today. It also opened up conversations between me and my kids. Glad we got them!

This collection absolutely includes everything you would expect as far as The Andy Griffith Show goes! Perfect set! If you enjoyed this show when you were growing up, or even if you've never even seen a single episode, I would highly recommend this DVD Collection.

I'm so glad I purchased this collection This was one of my shows growing up Now I get to see all the episodes when I want too The only complaint I have is the volume on the DVDs are not that loud

It is good to have the complete series available for viewing any time you want to.

This is a timeless classic with Aunt Bea, Opie, Andy and the rest of the Mayberry crew.

Anyone who is a fan should purchase the complete set. What a hilarious show. Just laughter throughout with great morals
