Assasin was definitely style of substance but it's a pretty film

Full of action enjoyed watching this movie a must see

I'm a devoted Shu Qi fan. Was happy to find a martial arts movie where she has a starring role. I was looking forward to watch this movie. Five stars for the cinematography, BUT it was a slow pace movie. Scarce fight scenes. Was expecting more. A big disappointment.

Good Photography but story is kind of boring. soso

This is one of the worst movie I have seen in years. The director is famous in China/Taiwan and he apparently want to shoot various shots that he wanted to do in his life time. To me as an audiance, these shots are meaning less. The storyline is terrible, the acting nonresponsive, the historic background is bogus, the ending is non-existance (the assassin simply walked away without doing anything). I can go on and on but cannot find a reason why anyone should watch this gabarge.

This isn't something to sit down and enjoy with a party. It's a nice smoke and chill movie. Beautiful cinematography. Don't look for non stop action here. When the action does come, its pretty beautiful stuff.

Cover says it is a martial arts movie.. It isn't. The dialogue is just as bad. The movie cuts around too much for it to really form a strong plot. I bought it as the back of the case said it was an official selection at several film festivals. I own a lot of foreign films and I have to say that out of every movie I have ever bought, this is the ONLY one I threw in the trash. Yes, I threw it in the trash.

Rural China never looked so beautiful. The cinematography never looked so good. Had problem with the characters, e.g. the wife being the masked assassin but after a second viewing, you figure it out.

Shu Qi plays the beautiful Assassin Nie Yinniang who gets into a lot of trouble when she doesn't follow orders. Great action and beautiful cinematography will make you stand up and cheer at the end.

this movie is not as advertised as far as the reviews on the cover. There is next to no real martial arts in this flick. It's art-house beauty is not as it is said to be and lacks in coherence of story

This is a very good film. It is not as action packed as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and the few action scenes in this film are very short. This is more of a story based film.

Great, colorful film. Beautiful fim, loving characters. A true shame that this film was passed over for an Oscar. Highly recommend. Great service and experience ordering online.
