The premise of this movie is that a male assassin is turned into a woman as an act of revenge. The movie tries to make that happen by introducing the Rodriguez character as a man, with a beard and a swaggering walk, then letting her become Michelle by discarding the male makeup. That just doesn't work. Rodriguez, no matter how tough she is, just isn't a man, or maybe her male makeup just wasn't done convincingly enough.

Did an excellent job showing her as a man at the beginning of the movie and the attitude was perfect for someone being turned into a woman that didn't know how it happened.

Killing lots of people is the "IN" thing for movies these days (any relationship to school shootings?). This has an extra contrived story to justify having a woman doing it - hey, it is really a guy murdering everyone, so it is OK for a woman doing it; right? Just like "real" life, it is all justified out of vengeance, then re-vengeance. Where does one-upping stop with revenge? Christians/Muslims, Christians/Jews, Christians/Lions, Fascists/Communists, Republicans/Democrats, etc? You got the picture? But no dog gets killed in this one to justify the carnage..

I don't care what they think...this movie is a ton of fun. If you love Michelle Rodriguez and Grindhouse style films you MUST see this movie! And it has Segornie Weaver too! MRod plays a make assassin who is given a sex change as 1-revenge and 2- a shot to be a better person...cus, you know...only dudes kill. MRod plays it for all she's worth and sells it like ice to Eskimos. Just buy it, watch it and tell your friends!

A different movie...but a good one to see... Now the ending in getting her back and making sure she paid the price. Ha.........

Good action and a little sarcasm and Dramatic, that’s who they show the police on both sides

this movie has gotten mixed reviews. it is a quirky plot and keeps the viewer guessing. michelle r. is stunning. well acted but as i said quirky... still i loved it!

If you’re looking for action, well you’ve found this movie is unpredictable and overall a great action film. LOVED IT

Regardless of how a difficult situation ends up there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Not a good movie at all. Was bought for my 23 year old daughter and we didn’t even finish watching it

The Movie is great full of action great actor and plays the role real well

The Assignment is a strange movie. I can only rate this as a "C" at best. The movie has a lot of action, but the story line was not very interesting to me. I was never convinced from the character development. Given a choice, I would spend my money on another movie. I can not recommend the Assignment with so many better movies to buy.

Average fair movie, with a gender twist. Save yourself the money and wait until it hits cable.

Highly recommend this. Exciting, thrilling. Well worth the purchase
