We were looking for some good scary movies and this one left us still looking..

The movie had some scary scans but overall was bad acting and a poor story.

Heard all good reviews about it but thought it was a huge waste of time.,

This flick was not scary in the least bit. total disappointment

Don't read this review. Just go out and buy this movie. All right, if you MUST know... "The Babadook" is an amazingly creepy and eerie story that does not rely on gruesome effects, on jump scare every three seconds, on every trick in the book. "The Babadook" rewrites the book altogether. It's spooky and stylish — supported by excellent and believable performances. Minimalistic as it is, it will make you shift position on the couch because you'll be genuinely freaked out. And, if someone knocks three times at your door... Good luck.

I highly recommend picking up this version of The Babadook. It is a horror film collectors dream! Me being one of course so I know what I'm talking about. The limited edition pop up slide cover is very creative and original. Both the acting and over all plot of the film is original and good. The actors and director did a great job in my opinion. Its definitely one of the best horror movies i have seen in 2014. its one of a kind and can't wait to see what future projects Jennifer Kent directs!

Without giving away much of the movie, it's intended to be a "scary" movie with a deeper implication. The way that the writer pulled that off was great, actually. I've read through many of the comments and people don't seem to get that. I think, if you watch the movie and can pick that out you'll realize that it's definitely a good movie. If you can't, then you'll think it's not very good. I would recommend this movie to a friend but definitely target who I recommend.

This movie is chockful of suspense and will keep you watching and thinking trying to differentiate between nightmare and reality. You will definitly want to see this more than once. Luckily i was able to attend a early screening and can't wait to own this little gem myself. I would recommend this

I bought the movie, not knowing much about it, and much to my surprise it was a fairly good movie. I wouldn't say it was the scariest movie I've seen, but definitely worth a watch.

Campy, funny horror movies can be fun. Now they are overvalued. The Babadook is an original horro thriller. Beautifully paced, wonderfully directed and acted. You'll hate the characters before you love them. The ending is so brilliant I still get happy to think about it.

Yup, bought it twice, one as gift for a friend. Recommend.

Pop-Up slip-cover. Interchangeable cover art. Great effects, the little boy was superb in his part. Well worth the money as a Blind-Buy.

"The Babadook" is hands down one of the best Horror films of the past decade. Go in with an open mind. Worth a buy!

This movie is OK, it will work for a quick movie if you have no others to choose from in your inventory.
