This CD is exactly the original Capitol Records recording of the Beatles and the album covers.. So far I have the first two albums and hope that the others are still available.

Any fan of the Beatles, especially the early Beatles sound, will want to have this in their collection

What my son recorded off the Internet was missing 1/2 the songs..

The Beatles Second Album was my 1st Beatles album back when I was I was nine yrs. old. Most of the songs (all but one) appear on other CD's I own, but not in this order and not in the original mono mix. The mono version truly duplicates the original recording note for note and brings out nuances in vocals as well as instrumental arrangements which got lost in re-mastering for CD. The packaging is amazing as it replicates the original LP cover, liner sleeve--complete with recommendations on how to care for your diamond needle---and the old Capitol Records label. They really made this a fun re-issue IMO.

When I began working the midnight shift, I said to myself "there is no way I am going to pull this off without some music to listen to, and who better than The Beatles to keep me entertained"?

this music is classic. I'm glad this music was put on cds.

The mono tracks sound better than the stereo ones. Stereo is done in 4 track. Awful.
