The Becoming’s Vol. 1 is a gem. This album is a very real and raw reflection of relatable concepts and emotions. Spirited sing-alongs and shadowy love stories are played like wind chimes-in-stereo, in pitch-perfect harmony. The record has an 80s rock feel, but with more intricate beat patterns and vocals. If they ever make a Rad 2 Silent As The Grave is a shoe-in for the score and The Night That Has No Morning for the final race. For those who haven’t seen Rad, eBay…get bidding. Vol. 1 is the kind of album you throw in the car stereo when you have a long drive ahead. The mood of the lyrics is generally gloomy, yet the songs remain really fresh and energetic. It’s a lungful of fresh air. These guys know exactly what they’re doing, and hopefully they keep doing it. Favorite track: #5 through #9 Silent As The Grave, The Night That Has No Morning, We’re Already Dead, Your Love, Heaven Isn’t So Far- Tracks 5-9 are definitely not going stag to the high school bmx dance.
