    First, one must realize that this movie was made many years ago. With that consideration, they did a good job on giving us real life details of musician Benny Goodman. Life was simpler back then but, not without the same issues we see today. Having a father who was a musician in his younger years and a husband who still is a musician, it was an easy story too relate to. Wish it was the same with life like it was back then. Its a good "based on a true story" movie.

    Just great movies Great old movies about great old bands from the time of the second world war. Nobody since then has even come close.

    Bought this movie as gift for someone who loves old movies and the 30s and 40s generation. Didn't matter that he had seen it before, he wanted it for keeps and hadn't found it.

    I love films that depicts the lives of great people and their accomplishments, and this one delivers on a great jazz clarinetist.
