Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Penned by Ingmar Bergman, The Best Intentions is not only a heartwarming story about his parents, but a honest account of his greater family, with its strengths, flaws, biases and detailed portrayals. Beautifully performed by a brilliant cast, Bergman shares his recollections of family and of his parents with earnest honesty. At times are kind recollections, and at other times, painful recollections of his grandparents, their prejudices and at times hurtful actions. In all of this, Bergman maintains his honest portrayal of his parents and family with warmth, sometimes unsettling, but always wiuth respect and love.
