Many inaccuracies. It makes me wonder, was the purpose of this series to draw people to God or entertain them? One of the inaccuracies that I did not like was when David was confronted by the prophet Nathan about his sins, David, humbled himself, repented, and wrote Psalm 51 which is a great psalm asking God for forgiveness. Something we all should be doing. Instead, in the series he was presented as an arrogant King rebelling against Nathan. Also, Why not make the people speak in their native tongue, which would have been mainly Hebrew, with some Aramaic and some Greek. Again, their interest of making money seems to have been more important than sticking to the Gospel.

I do not suggest this movie. Poor quality. The acting is not up to par and the layout of the film JUST STARTS and stops. Not a bargain.

All video has lots of mistakes , completely made not as Bible says , and I never heard or seen Gods Angels in red color and ugly looking. So i waste my money! Not recommended at all!!!!!!

I did not have a chance to watch while it was on television, so I was happy to pick it up on Blu-Ray when it was released. I highly recommend this series. It was great for my family and I to be able to sit and watch this together. Highly recommended!

Found this on Netflix and I am very pleased with the way it doesn't deviate from the bible. So many shows based on the bible have added drama and ideas that take away from the stories being presented as they were supposed to. This one stays true and even helped me to understand some of what I've read a million times, but wasn't so clear.

I grew up on movies like these and most of them are OLD. The older ones don't have as much to them because technology wasn't as advanced way back then, but this movie is just beautiful. Everything about it just really pulls you in and makes it seem like you were actually there. I love it. I've already recommended it to several people.

I loved this series when it first appeared on the History Channel. I could not wait for it be released on blu-ray disc. I went to Best Buy the day it was released and purchased it for an awesome sale price of $34.99. The picture is amazing and even better than when it was on TV. Great job History Channel!!

This DVD of the Bible makes understanding the word of God much easier. Loved the acting and the special effects were superb! It's too bad that it has taken this long for someone to perfectly act out the characters of the greatest book ever written! I recommend this DVD to everyone.

The story was done very well, with some good especial effects. The story goes quite quickly but leaves a good sense of knowing more, which encourages to read the bible, the best set of books that contains the most infinite wisdom of all time. Incredible acting that make us want more.

What do you want me to say? Does one really have the courage to rate the Bible less than 5-star? Enough said.

I bought the movie to share with my grandchildren. I find that they were able to understand some of the things they read in the bible when they see it in the movie. Well acted and a great family movie.

This is a great mini series. I loved it and my children were interested in all the stories. This is very touching

My family loves Bible stories and our church was very supportive of this series. We saw a couple of episodes on TV and quickly picked this up in store. Very happy with the movie.

It has all of the series in just one disc. As for the price I think it's well worth it. Each episode touches my soul. It's defitinitely worth watching. The creators of this film/series did a good job in the storytelling.

Watched most of the series on tv but missed quite a bit because other things that were happening at that time. With the DVD, I can watch it all in one sitting.

This is the perfect gift for my mother. She had been wanting this but unwilling to buy it so when this was a special had to get it for her. Great mini series that will be watched over and over.
