The disc arrived a bit more scratched than I would’ve like but it still played fine so not the end of the world, and the movie itself was spectacular. I loved it a lot and would absolutely recommend it.

If you can get past the degree of cursing in this movie, it actually proves to be a quite informative movie about the housing market crash of 2008 which Obama had to bail us out of and save the banks. I would also recommend Too Big To Fail - the HBO original movie to see along with this one for another entertaining yet informative narrative on the bank mortgage failures.

Excellent film about the 2008 financial collapse. Superb performances by an outstanding cast. I feel that this was a better film tgan Spotlight, which took home the oscar for best picture. It's funny, dramatic, and educational, which most films fail at pulling off. I highly recommend adding The Big Short to your blu ray library.

I always was bothered by the way “The Big Short” was filmed, with a constantly moving camera that has a tendency to distract from the intricacies of the plot. But it’s still very entertaining, and this release does the film justice. To be fair, the film is less disorienting on a smaller screen, so maybe now I’ll like it even more...

If you ever wondered how the housing market collapsed, but want to be entertained and not just educated, this is the film for you. Here's a great ensemble piece that engages on every level, leaving the viewer laughing and appalled at the same time. It's a jigsaw puzzle, a comedy, an eye opening expose and hugely entertaining!

It really hits you hard how corrupt Wall Street is, and how many people were taken advantage of because of the fraudulent system in place and greed. The Big Short is the comic effect of the ludicrousness of it all, how this is happening everyday, yet most people don't know what it's about. The cast is a comedic force. All in all, this was a very entertaining film. Loved it.

I was skeptical of this film. I mean how interesting can you make the mortgage crisis meltdown fill a 2 hour movie. Upon viewing the film I can easily say this was one of my favorites from 2015. If the subject matter was a turn off I would suggest giving it a try. You may be surprised at how engrossing the film is.

This is an excellent movie. For those folks who like stories based on true events, but also want a little entertainment value - you will not be disappointed. Star-studded cast and outstanding performances by all. It's scary that this was based on what really happen during America's housing market mortgage crisis. Must see!

Typically I'm not a huge fan of documentary-type movies to own, this was an exception. The cast is phenomenal and although it's a complicated matter/plot (esp if you're not aware of the terms and the process) it still is an enjoyable watch. The first time I saw the movie I actually replayed it immediately after!

Great performances all around! Very scary look at the lead up to the housing market crash and the guys who bet against the American economy. Some of the financial and banking talk may go over a lot of people's head's but the movie does a good job of trying to explain things. Despite its topic movie is very funny at times.

An excellent look inside some of the financial dealings that played a part in the bursting of the housing bubble leading to The Great Recession. It doesn't tell the whole story. No single film could. For that matter even the experts are still debating the issues involved. We will never know the whole truth in any event.

In watching this movie I became angrier and angrier at the debacle that was the housing market. If people want to know what really happened, watch this movie and think about how and why you're voting for the people you are voting for. What did they have to do with all this? Until people get angry, nothing will change.

I am familiar with what transpired in the stock market housing and still learned a few things from watching this movie. I can't blame the people who made money from the housing crash, but it's a shame that others did not listen. I would recommend watching this along with Too Big To Fail! You will have a better understanding of what went on during the housing crash.

Totally deserving of a Best Picture nomination, the story of a group of people who saw imminent danger in the financial world was riveting and suspenseful without talking "down" to its audience. McKay, who usually does sophomoric comedies fires on all cylinders to tell a great story with great acting/directing. The A/V quality is top notch, perfect on Blu-ray.

A “must see” for anyone in the Banking Industry during the “Financial Crisis” from 2008-2012. It was a LONG arduous process to TRY and help the MILLIONS of families affected by the travesty...one of which I will never forget.

It is hard to really fathom that this movie is talking about and reenacting real life scenarios that occurred less than a decade ago. What is amazing is the acting and storytelling that could not have been made up in this, The sad thing is knowing that many idiots have not learned their lesson after this fiasco

The fact that the movie knows it could get a little boring by trying to describe financial products and offsets that with cameos, editing, and directing, lets you know that pros are at work. This perfectly cast movie was easily one of the best of 2015, and probably should have walked away with more awards.

Great movie. Breaks down the 2008 financial crisis very well. Explains things clearly for people who lived through it but didn't really understand what happened. Also rightfully upsets you (very educational).

I heard nothing but great things about this film, so I bought it immediately when I saw it was on sale. Great movie backed by an amazing cast and awesome director. The movie covers a very serious, and touchy subject in American history, but it's a lot to understand so it takes a second watch to fully grasp what happened. Well worth your time.
