A great film, a true story, well told, exciting, interesting, and something everyone needs to understand about how our financial world is set up today. Every actor is perfect in their role, and the writing is also perfect. WATCH IT!

This movie is right up there with Spotlight as one of the year's best. Never has getting a handle on how some businesses really screwed everyone over been so entertaining. Depressing but full of stellar performances. Don't miss it.

My only negative comment is the subject matter is complex, and some of the dialog was cleaver, but not enlightening on the subject. i had to view the film twice to fully understand the banking and investment firms fraudulent activity. Still, the acting was first rate.

As most Americans got caught up in the economical turmoil from 2008 to today and didn't understand what happened, this movie explains in detail the folly of the lending institutions and their greed that was responsible.

It is clever, fast paced , and touches a lot of important topics. I enjoyed the performances very much. This should have gotten more Oscar buzz IMO.. Blu ray is great as well. Great quality and good extras

Fantastic recreation of what happened in 2005-2007 to cause a worldwide economic disaster. Very informative but also extremely entertaining. The acting and directing was A+ The extras alone were worth the price of the disk.

This is a depressing movie how all of us in the US where ruined by the financial system that to this day has not been fixed. Since nothing has been fixed, another market crash is in the horizon.

Great film on Blu Ray about the 2007 world financial collapse and how certain individuals saw it coming and played against it, and won big in the process. Outstanding acting by the likes of Steve Carrell and Ryan Gosling.

A great film on the financial housing crisis of 2008. If you like movies about this concept, or everything Ryan Gosling. You have to see it. You wouldn't expect this from Adam McKay (Step Brothers, Talladega Nights)

The flow of this movie makes it a little more difficult to watch but if you stick with it you will come away with a better understanding of how the average American is getting stuck with the bill to bail out some of the wealthiest financial institutions.

Very well acted drama, especially by Christian Bale who, again, earned an Oscar nomination. A bit complicated and confusing if you are not used or familiar with banking and stock exchange world. At the same time, it is educational on that subject.

Steve Carel is the best in this movie. The edition of this film is so good too. The script is so good because the writers explained you in a very easy way to understand what happened in that sad year of 2008...

This is a great film. If anyone ever wants to know how the 2008 financial crisis came to be, have them watch this. It has it's funny moments, but can teach you a lot about what happened in plain english.

Heard an interview of someone involved with the movie. Intrigued, I purchased it and was very pleased with the novel approach taken by the director. Very educational concerning the sub-prime housing market.

This movie here was a great film to watch and see Christion Bale in a very different role from most of his film. I recommend this film because it is very informative and you could actually learn a lot.

This movie explains the whole scenario of the real estate and Wall Street scams that had such a negative impact on our economy and unemployment. Very well acted. The only downside is the music is a bit much and interferes with the story line.

This is a very well made and entertaining movie. It also is a great explainer of the 2008 economic crisis - using celebrities to explain economic concepts and giving examples of the housing boom.
