Very well written, directed and the acting in brilliant. Captures the robber barons of Wall Street banking in ways understandable to the everyman. So much criminal behavior and absolutely no punishment.

As I was watching movie I couldn't believe how easily they told the terrifying themes of this complex issue (the housing collapse of 2007) and still made it humorous. Watch it if you can.

For someone who works in the financial services industry, I thought the movie did a good job of explaining what caused the financial crisis and did so in a very entertaining and at times funny way.

The truth about the banks committing fraud! The big bank bailout. In depth on what was happening and nothing was being done about it. I believe the banks need to be broken up as does wallstreet.

This is the story of how the financial system melted down. It was very aggravating to know that nobody went to jail, after viewing this. Very entertaining, engaging and educating simultaneously.

We saw this first in the theaters. We enjoyed the movie, but the events that occurred also made us angry. Great story and acting, as well as a fine cast make this a must-see.

The Big Short is obviously a good movie, but the cast is what really makes this movie go. Steve Carrell, Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, & Brad Pitt. Like I said great movie, better cast.

Christain Bale is always at his best when playing essentric roles. He's amazing in this. Every one does an amazing job in explaining such a huge part of our country's financial history.

I saw the movie at the theatre & bought it for my collection. A must see for anyone that wants to understand how corporate America is more concerned about individual greed more than society.

This is a great movie. It is a different type of movie from what I normally watch. The movie clearly explains what happen when the housing market tanked. I was engaged from start to finish.

Don't get me wrong, I give all the actors props for their great performances, but a lot of math makes the story a lil muddy and hard to follow. In the end though you'll know how the 2008 economic crisis really happened.

Didn't make it to the theater to watch this movie, but wanted to see it as it pertained to life events that happened very recently that impacted a lot of folks. Wanted to see the Hollywood version of the story.

“The Big Short” feels less like an immersive story than a lecture delivered by the hippest Econ 101 professor on campus, illustrated with glib asides and state-of-the-art visual aids.

Especially in this election season, to know that some female candidates for President are connected at the hip to the people who created this financial disaster in the housing market

This won the Oscar for best Adapted Screenplay and deserved it. Very funny and depressing at the same time. The blu-ray contains two dics with extra features and deleted scenes.

A very topical underrated film that should be a must see for anyone who lives in the US. Saw this at Best Buy for a great deal on Black Friday and added it to my collection :)

This movie gives you an inside look of the greed that led to the near collapse of the U.S. economy. It is well done and makes you feel as though you are in the minds of the players.

It's not easy to make a financial movie entertaining while also keeping it easy to understand, but this movie pulls it off. Great performances throughout.
