True story about how the US financial system almost collapsed in early 2000. I watched the movie but have seen the dvd at least once and will probably see it many more times. How close we came to the end.

This is a very interesting movie. It may appear as slow moving but if you pay close attention you will enjoy it much more. A view into what happens in the financial world. Excellent.

If half of what is said in this movie is factual, it is really scary how vulnerable we are to fraud in our financial system!

The characters were captured in a very distinct way. The cast is outstanding. Steve Carrell and Christian Bale are phenomenal. Too many great actors to give credit to.

At times it was a bit preachy however very informative. Did not care for Selena Gomez explaining it to me as it felt like I was being talked down to. Granted I did not know all the terminology nor exactly what was going on at times if I'm not up on all the trading terminology. The cast was great even though not all the characters in the movie we're good guys.

Based on the true story of the housing crisis of 2008. Must see the smugness of the big banks.

If you know some secrets you stand to make a fortune when everyone else's stock market money goes down the toilet!
