Movie was great but since that has nothing to do with Best Buy I will say that Best Buy lived up to their end of the bargain and provided a properly functioning disc.

Heard all of the buzz a few years ago about this movie. Glad it went on sale so I grabbed a copy. Worth seeing it in 4k!

I wanted to see this movie so bad . I actually missed it I’m the movie theaters, so when i saw Best Buy had it on sale ... i just had to get it

I thought this would be a remake of the original D.W> Griffith Classic from 100 years ago. But was surprised it was not. Superb Movie with and very telling story.

I went to see this at the movies and saw it as one of the most important movies of my time. It showed the evolution of the character that Nate Parker portrayed.

I like the movie but the second act is a bit drawn out. The uprising is a little short though. That part could have been a little longer....

The Birth of a Nation is a true story that although graphic is an accurate depiction of our historic past. Acting was very good with well developed characters.

Nat Turner is not considered a hero by white America but he is singularly responsible for white people realizing that black slaves were as human as they were.

This movie was blackballed for reasons we all know. I'd say buying it will be a decision you won't regret. Great history lesson, told from a black perspective.

I didn't get to see this movie in theaters so when it came out on DVD I had to get it. I also lucked out and got it at a lower price because it was a Deal of the Day special. The movie is a piece of history that everyone should see.

The movie was amazing. It really had my attention through out. It will be be great to watch. We all can learn from it on how things were ,looking at now.

The Birth of a Nation [4K Ultra HD Blu-ray/Blu-ray] [2016] IS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES OF THE YEAR.

This is an excellent historical movie on the life of Nat Turner and his times. It was a bit more violent than I would have liked. My wife watched part but then left the room but it was too bloody for her.

Although some of the info was left out, this movie does a great job showing some truths that has never been taught in school history!!!

Powerful story. Growing up I know this was happening in our country but to see it in this movie broke my heart that my people endured such hatred.

The story of Nat Turner is told in a way that allows the viewer to understand why he did what he did. It is history that was not taught in school.

Marred by controversy from the director, but an otherwise great film about race and class in old days society. The message today is still poignant. Worth a watch and the blu-ray is a standout av presentation.

Such an amazing story!!! Great actors and actresses!! So glad i purchased it!! Made me even more grateful about how far we have come!! :-)

Very informative. Helps to rewrite part of history that was left out or not explained well. This movie should be viewed by all ethnicities.

Deep theatrical movie of a portion of our nation's history. You can't know what we've learned, without remembrance of where we've come from.....
