This is a very good movie. The online description did not say it was "black 'n white'. Bought the BluRay version and it is a much better picture quality then VHS. Wish it was colorized.

This has become one of my favorite Christmas movies and I was very excited for it to be released on Blu-ray. Overall, the picture and sound are both very clear. Although the only extra is a trailer, I'm still happy just to have the film in HD. It should also be noted that there was a mastering error in the first pressing of the disc which caused a video glitch just before the 30 minute mark where a 2 second clip of a different scene is inserted. This only affects the video. It's not really a big deal as there's no dialogue during this scene, but it's something to be aware of. Warner Bros. has corrected the error and is sending out replacement discs. They sent one out to me immediately after contacting them.

The Bishop's Wife is a lovely fantasy/romance nestled in a plot that draws you in immediately. I've seen the film at least a dozen times, and one of my favorite scenes is near the end of the film when Mario Lanza sings Ave Maria with a wonderful boys' choir.
