A solid Cathy McCarthy flick. Lightly entertaining, but definitely not on par with The Heat. Of course the Heat is arguably her best role/performance to date.

Melissa McCarthy created this character, Michelle Darnell, during her time in the Groundlings in LA. Her husband, Ben Falcone, directs the movie and makes a funny appearance in the movie. I enjoyed it in the theaters and I definitely enjoyed it at home. Especially since there is an unrated version included. Kristen Bell and Tyler Labine are hilarious in the movie. If you enjoy Melissa McCarthy like I do, you'll like this movie a lot.

I enjoyed watching this movie. The actors did a great job dealing with different situations. I liked the storyline. It was funny and kept my attention as the movie progressed. I bought after I watched the trailer and decided to add it to my movie and ultra violet collection. I recommend it to anyone that is interested in a funny and active movie to watch.

Normally love Melissa McCarthy although this is not one of her best roles.

If you're a fan of Melissa McCarthy, you won't be disappointed by THE BOSS. But, you won't say "Wow, what a daring new direction from McCarthy. I would have never pictured her in such a role." Be sure to take a look at the bonus features to see an early performance of this character from her stand up days in the mid-00's.

The blu ray picture quality is great. I gave it a four for the movie itself its not perfect and sometimes there are some bad jokes trying too hard or some stuff in the plot that doesnt make sense but overall i laughed a lot i had a great time. I would recommend if you lime Melissa McCarthy!

This movie is hilarious!! Me and my wife cried laughing

I saw this movie in the theatre when it first came out. It was a while since I saw it and decided to purchase this from Best Buy. I had a movie night with family and friends and we never laughed so hard. This movie had a tone of one liners. Don't worry about those people that said it had weak story line. I can tell you I didn't watch this for the story line. I watched it to be entertained and it did just that.

Melissa McCarthy is only a little funny in this movie. this is not my wholehearted recommendation and in retrospect I should've waited until the price was cheaper before buying this movie. It showed well on my large screen though and the graphics were excellent.
