A good story about two boys who met during the holocaust--one in a concentration camp and the other boy was a child of a German soldier. It has a very surprising ending!

OMG. This movie was hard to watch because you know that it is basically true. You owe all that suffered to watch this movie and remember so that we do not do this ever again.

The movie was so tragic I felt so sad I would not want to own for repeat views. Rent it from Redbox if you don't think you can handle watching the tragic death of a young boy in the times of the holocaust. Worth watching, just maybe not owning.

Good movie for the entire family, wish it was blue ray but can't complain, it was on sale and wish Best Buy wasn't going to get rid of their CD and DVD section.

Movie had everyone in the family in to it which is hard with a 3 year old and a 10 year old. Sad ending but shows how innocent children are despite religion, race or back ground.

Great color picture. Easy to operate, like going to the movies but staying at home. Wonderful salesmen that are objective, informative and love their honesty.

We watched this together and the kids really didn't get the concept of the movie, but with a little tears and talking they got a child's understanding of it. Good but very sad

The innocence of children is a wonderful thing. Unfortunately, as we grow up and mature we don't always get wiser or more compassionate. These boys shame many an adult!

Received great help in searching for this movie in the store. Movie was for a project but it turned out to be a great addition to our movie collection.

I've seen this movie on occasion on television. It is a thought-provoking story of a sad time in world history. Happy to have it available to watch as desired.

My daughter loves this movie, so I bought it for her. We watched it together, and I enjoyed it very much...interesting perspective when seen from a child's point of view.

Really good and powerful drama on concentration camps and how many lives were touched. So many suffered so much and this reminds of that terrible time. Ending is a tragic twist, making for a good movie for entire family to take in..and reflect on..

The depth of the horrors of the holocaust is difficult to convey in a movie. This movie manages to do so. I cannot say I 'enjoyed' this movie but I feel I spent my time well watching it to understand a bit more the horrors that occurred.

great family movie for tweens and up! We had borrowed this from our local library and enjoyed it so much we needed to have our own copy.

This movie was so deep and poignant, we should all bear witness to the horrors of war so as to find true compassion for those that are different from us.

"The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" is an eye-opening film based on reality. It portrays the Holocaust in a most startling fashion. I strongly recommend it.

I saw this movie on television, and have watched it several times. When I saw it for such a great price, I had to buy it! Sad, but good.

Although this is not a joyful story, not all are. I would recommend this film to show in school for kids when learning about wwII
