The Boy has its suspense, drama, a bit of everything you would expect from a horror thriller type of movie. Though I expected a bit more, I overall enjoyed it and have made this movie a part of my video collection. Since my purchase, others have viewed "The Boy" and enjoyed it. A good buy and worth the watch now and future viewings. Like most movies, you will always see something you didn't notice the first time. Happy Viewing! Enjoy!

This movie is an awesome movie to watch with ur gf

Pacing is slow and steady throughout, but a nice twist. Looking forward to the sequel.

The movie starts with a lonely castle in the middle of nowhere. The tension starts building up right away. It is true that there are some other movies also with a similar plot but I enjoyed it from start to end thoroughly. The sound effects were awesome and will give chills at times. Though it will look similar to some other movies but at the end there is a twist which makes it stand out. I liked this movie a lot, although it may not be considered as super excellent it is not anything less than good.

Even though this probably won't win any awards, I found it to be better then a good number of the movies that come out in this genre. Compared to most, this actually seemed to have a bit of creepiness to it that is usually missing in a majority of the movies I've seen. Don't get me wrong, its no high end thriller but its definitely not something that was thrown together haphazardly either. If you enjoy a decent creepy movie now and then, this one will probably be for you.

Mysterious deaths and crazy grieving parents. A good film in general with believable acting yet not outstandingly scary. I liked the mood and the setting of the movie (an old huge home in the English countryside). It is good to see also Lauren Cohan from The Walking Dead as the main character. The plot is interesting and congruent all along although some elements are difficultly fitted.

I wasn’t expecting much from The Boy, but boy was I surprised. Lauren Cohan did a good job in this one. It’s a bit slow at first, but picks up with the suspense. The twist really had me surprised as well. Some good sound effects too and nice details on the massive house. I would definitely recommend. I liked the intro with the creepy dolls too.

Saw this in theaters and was happy to add it to my collection as soon as the bluray was available for purchase. Was just as much fun the second time around! Watched it with two different people, neither of whom are horror lovers, and they both liked it too. Great bluray picture, nice and crisp with good color saturation. Highly recommended!

Pretty good. But like most Doll horror movies kinda lets you down in the end unless It's running around like Chucky talking and messing things up. Creeped out my Wife, but like I said what Doll doesn't . They put effort and kept away from " Typical Hollywood Jump scares" so I dug it. Just don't expect a high end well filmed version Chucky.

This movie was a lot better than I expected with good acting, good character development, and a good plot. When I first heard about this movie I thought it was going to be yet another disappointing horror movie, but instead it was a really surprising and well pacing movie with an amazing twist no one's going to see coming.

Not scary but good movie would recommend good plot

As a huge fan of horror and suspense The Boy was a great choice. I would recommend The Boy movie to any movie junkies who also love suspense and horror. So glad I purchased it! Also got it at a great price from Best Buy and to add it was the only store in my area that had the movie in stock.

My daughter wanted me to buy this movie after she saw most of it on the internet. She spoiled it for me but it was good. She really likes the creepy boy/ doll. I will make sure I get her some creepy doll now for payback for telling me the ending.

I had mixed feelings about this movie "The Boy". I expected a little more. I'm glad I waited for the DVD instead of going to the movies to watch this. I would definitely add this movie to my collection, I would have liked more of a thrill so to speak.

This movie definitely had a few twists that I didn't expect. I thought it was a great movie especially because it was so different. Never underestimate your surroundings, who's around you , or... What's around you if you want to be safe & happy.

This movie was deff. different with a little twist at the end from the commercials it looked Awesome watching it was still pretty good but not AS good as i thought it would be but still worth checking out.

The Boy was a decent film. Nothing great, but an interesting ending. The quality of the blu-ray is top notch. The picture quality is 4.5/5 and the sound quality is an easy 5/5. Lots of bass!!!!

Great movie it had wonderful characters and an awesome story line. I have told so many people to watch this movie and when they did they agreed that it was a great movie.

Kind of a creepy story, but was better than expected. A little slow at the beginning, but the story picks up about half way. Pretty good for a PG13 horror film.
