Justice served in this classic film around a broken hearted woman seeking justice for her boyfriend's untimely death at the hands of street thugs. Jodie Foster was excellent!!

Great movie. It’s hard to watch in some parts. It was underrated. Jody Foster was amazing in this role.

No one should be put down in anyway of form in this harsh world that we have to deal with it everyday, and this movie made me feel extremely satisfied to thoes 1% of bad people in our world. She made decision that couldn't go back to her regular life like the others, and when she revenges, it felt sensational emotion all over my body.

I had to have this movie to add to my collection. It is great on all counts. The plot, the actors, the acting and the movie ending.

Jodie Foster delivers a knuckle biting story. You will be kept on the edge of your seat throughout the whole movie.

I'm a Jodie Foster fan and this is one of her best.

Jodie Foster is Erica Bain, a NY DJ, who does out for a walk one night with her fiancee and the two are bruttaly assaulted by a group of thugs. The attack leaves Erica in a coma and her fiancee dead. Trying to put the pieces back together, Erica is terrified to leave her apartment or do anything, until she buys a gun on the streets . . .and then she takes out her victimizaton by killing the scumbags she enounters. What could have been a series of contrived encounters that lead to Erica using her gun, instead demonstrate Erica's almost subconscious patrol where she wanders into parts of town that all but guarantee she will be able to use her gun. Neil Jordan's steady direction and Jodie Foster's electrifying performance make The Brave One a much more contemplative Death Wish story. I loved this movie from the theatres and it was a must-have for me. It's a great story of how trauma affects this woman and meditates brilliantly on issues of morality and revenge. If you have this movie on DVD and love it like I do, I recommend the upgrade to BD. The 1080p, Hi-Def picture only electrifies the already gorgeous and haunting cinematography and the lossless TruHD Dolby Digital only demonstrates how effective sound in a film like this can be. I only wish there were more special features besides a short making-of doc. It would have been nice to have director/actor commentary or BD-Live features.

This is a great movie, my wife and I love it! I guess we're the only ones giving it 5 stars. We thought it deserved it. This is Jodie Foster's best role since Silence of the Lambs. This is a great movie for her to resurrect her career. This is a great revenge movie, I highly recommend it! Also, some other good revenge movies are Killshot, Taken, and Payback.

This movie has a very real feel to it - focusing on a subject true-to-life: Vengence. A woman and her fiance get attacked in Central Park while walking their dog, he dies, she turns into a bit of a crazy after recovering. At first, you think she's just gonna go after those who attacked her, but it turns out you'd be wrong. Excellent acting from both Jodie Foster and Terrence Howard as the cop on her trail. Check it out.

Jodie Foster gives a good performance as a woman living in fear after her, and her boyfriend were attacked by a group of thugs leaving her with bruises,but killed her boyfriend.And Terrence Howard gives a stunning performance as the officer in charge of the case.She turns into a vigilante for the city,buying herself a 9mm hand gun and dispatching her own justice.If you like thrillers than pick this one up.

The movie is great, action and twist. It’s about doing what you feel is right. How many of us would love to take care of society into our hands. But how far can you go with this? The only thing I really didn't like about it was the relationship with Jodie Foster and Naveen Andrews, maybe they should had more story line with them together so you can really feel the love between them. Loved the ending!!

The movie was amazing. Jodie Foster did an amazing job of acting. The storyline was phenomonal. Sometimes, it was a little slow, but overall a great buy

Overall this is an exciting movie. I love Jodi in suspence style films. She is at her best.

Good if you are a fan of the revenge film genre. Otherwise, it is probably only worth watching once. Jodie Foster does a pretty good job and is very believable in her role.

This movie is great to watch, it shows how much this woman really loved her husband. A real Ride or Die Chick, that aint taking nothing from no one.
