Don’t believe all the negative reviews of this game it’s not as bad as people are making it out to be. By no means is it perfect but it is way better than most reviews claim.

The Callisto Protocol is an atmospheric game. It really delivers the sounds and visuals that make for an intense experience. However, the game isn't perfect. Within the first couple of hours, you will be 'tuned' in on when to expect jump scares. See a vent cover that seems like a perfect place for something to jump out? Then you can pretty much bet that a creature is going to emerge from the said spot. Navigation: My biggest complaint about the game is that there isn't any map or guide that remotely directs you toward the next objective. And with the secret rooms that are placed in the game that provide new weapons, it's easy to get turned around. I found myself backtracking and going in circles a few times. Mechanics: A few people have complained about the dodging and blocking mechanics of TCP. As long as you don't overthink it, these mechanics are really easy to master. Block, dodge, and use your gun to finish off the creature will be second nature to you in no time. Visuals: The visuals of this sci-fi horror really make you feel as if you're trapped in this prison. The steam escaping from pipes, obscuring your path, or sparks from ripped wires dripping down the side of a wall, all of them create an intense experience. And the gore visuals are honestly fun to watch. Each time I died, the death animations were something that I had never seen before, and I never got tired of watching. For their first game, Striking Distance does a solid job trying to replicate the essence of Dead Space (originally made by most of the same people). I look forward to their future games as long as they take note of where they fell short/

Callisto Protocol pays great homage to one of the best survival horror franchises of all time (Dead Space). Overall it is a fantastic experience! Especially on the PlayStation 5.

It's a decent game. Games are not as punishing as they used to so it's easy. It's a neat story, but for the creaters of Dead Space, they missed their mark a bit.

I like a lot, fun to play, great graphics, it almost like Dead space, but too short

If you’re looking to have a fun time, this game is that. The gameplay mechanics and graphics are superb and create a great scary environment. If you, like me, we’re looking for the next deadspace, then you will be disappointed. From the very average story, simple enemies, almost zero boss fights, this game is just not very memorable. Especially when in the shadow of deadspace, a comparison that’s very hard to avoid as you play the game.

Action packed, amazing story, Amazing graphics, alot of gore!

The graphics of this game truly show the power of the PS5. Game is somewhat short in my opinion, but overall great

It got some unfavorable reviews and kept many from picking it up, glad I got my copy day one. This game has great atmosphere and combat. It looks amazing and (aside from some bugs which are actively being patched out) plays great and keeps you gripped and tense as you look put for the jumpscares.

This game had very mixed reviews upon release. The game definitely has parts of it that feel not as AAA as others. But as someone that was a big fan of dead space, I really enjoyed what they did here. It's not a perfect game and maybe a bit short to some people, but I think at a discounted rate that everyone should try it out because the team did something interesting here.

This game was good it was a bit hard in the beginning it has some of its flows it was missing so intersecting in some parts but don’t let that take you away from buying the game I would buy this game it’s fun but there are some parts to where if you die and have low health well you better get better play at night with headphones to get the full scary experience

1) for those upset about missing preorder bonuses...ITS A CODE INSIDE THE CASE SLEEVE! Skins & all! Best Buy shoulda never sent out an email confirming/cancelling anything, so thats on them. Whwn you GET the game, it ships with its own code PERIOD. Total nontroversy. 2) Think less Dead Space and more John Carpenter in GORGEOUS checkerboard 4K/60. Im 2 hrs in and so far Im very mucb enjoying this games straightforward approach.

Cool story and setting but the controls are little clunky

Great game but with few glitches. Not as scary as I thought it would be though.

Awesome sci/fi survival horror. This game sets out to put the survival back in survival horror. Dont expect an easy outing into space, this game will test your limits and your reaction time. I loved every minute of it.

As game reminds me of another version of dead space

...but it's too short, and the combat takes some getting used to. The focus on melee combat works on paper, but in execution, it's just not that fun. It really is a beautiful-looking game though, which makes its underwhelming gameplay that much more disappointing.

Great game aside from a few issues. Simple story that ties you in with the characters and the lore. Definitley recommend if you are a fan of Dead Space or if you have never played Dead Space Jump in to this
