This game was okay. The story was interesting and the graphics are nice which are the only real positives. The negatives are that the gameplay time is really short and the combat is wonky. By wonky I mean it's so different from other games it has a decent learning curve and the character does not respond to the pressing of the buttons as fast as you would expect in a combat situation. Overall I don't think this game is worth the current price tag. With only a few hours of gameplay and the frustratingly slow reaction time the character has to button presses it wasn't worth it to me.
If you're still interested in playing, the story is interesting but I'd wait for however long before it goes on sale.

Game was outstanding a lot like Dead Space. The only real things I didn’t like was the dodging mechanic and how short it was. The atmosphere is very good and does keep you interested throughout.

Fun game to pick up and play when you’re craving some horror gameplay. Some parts of the game can get repetitive but overall a fun experience to kill 20ish hours of your time.

This is sort of like Dead Space if you are familiar with that game. It is actually even made by the original creator of Dead Space. I think its a very concise game and has a ton going for it. I dont think its perfect, but I still had a blast playing it and got a couple jump scares in

Fun survival horror with some flaws. The game is enjoyable and does not deserve the hate it’s getting. However, some of the controls feel clunky at times and the story isn’t nearly as strong as it could’ve been. It’s no dead space, but it’s still a fun experience.

Gameplay and story were great, just wish it had been a little longer. Very engaging and great visuals. Love the sci-fi horror genre in general I suppose.

Dope atmosphere & graphics, terrible combat system. Frame rates are decent on PS5, can’t say the same on PC. A shame that it was suppose to be the next “Dead Space”.

Really solid first outing from a new studio. Can see them using this foundation to nail the sequel. Had a lot of fun with this game, but wish the combat had a little more nuance and some more enemy variety would be nice.

It’s basically Dead Space with melee controls. I really like the setting, graphics and general gameplay, but this is like half a game.
General problems;
-the way the melee controls are set up, you don’t have much in the way of maneuverability. This becomes an issue when the game starts throwing multiple enemies at you.
-there are two bosses, one you fight in a human and then mutated form and a two headed guy you fight around five times.
- it has a pretty rigid upgrade system and doesn’t give you a ton of credits to upgrade gear. It would have been cool (and easy) if they had given you a game+ mode to go back an start out with all your upgraded gear, but hey who cares about replayability?
-speaking of which, it ends on a cliffhanger, which you won’t see the ending to without buying an additional $29.99 DLC that’s not coming out until this summer.
I’d be nicer if the price had been closer to $30, or the DLC was included and available at launch, but as is, I just can’t recommend this.

I loved the Dead Space games and i picked this up because I thought it would have the same feeling and give a fun new experience. But the game has been more frustrating than fun. The combat is extremely unforgiving, and gets pretty stale pretty quickly. I’ve gotten stuck on multiple parts in the game and even lowered the difficulty, but so many of the encounters seems like you die way too quick. The game is very visually impressive and I want to like it, but the amount of things that I found frustrating with the game far outway the things I thought were fun

Okay. The game is stunning when it comes to visuals. But when we talk about gameplay…. Well.. gives me lots to wish for. Melee is OK. Guns are very limited. It feels like I’m always playing the the highest difficulty. (Maybe I just suck). I love dead space and this definitely give you that vibe. But dead space is wayyyy better. If you must get it, I think you should wait for a discount.

Much maligned and misunderstood. A fun game with some beautiful graphics and fun gameplay. It's no Dead Space 1 or 2 but taken on its own its a very fun and rewarding sci-fi adventure. I would have given it a 5 if it had not been for release issues, no game plus after finishing and the fact that some of the gameplay is offset by bad mechanics but since that time the creators have released 3 patches that make the game much better and more on the way.

Fun so far. Don't expect it play like Dead Space.
Visuals are nice but were jittery till I enabled performance mode in the game settings. The game is fairly short but DLC may fill it out. Combat can be a little clunky with the way gun swapping is. Only a few boss battles and enemy types. Have not played it again since beating it.
Some of the issues may have been resolved with updates. Give the game a try when the price drops.

Some people do not like this game because of the difficulty. It takes some time to master combat. Once you figure that out, it becomes a much more enjoyable experience.

Overall a good game. Atmosphere is top notch, combat is decent, story is decent. Negative aspect is the tension drops after a couple hours as there's no variation to the formula they used with the exception of a couple jump scares here and there that actually got me.
