this was my first time seeing Lupin the 3rd years ago and it was a great anime for the comedy type of anime with a serious story background

While it has a lighter, more humorous tone than much of the Ghibli canon, fans of Miyazaki will find plenty to enjoy here. Many of the elements that would become trademarks of the studio can be found here.

As a fan of both Hayao Miyazaki's work at Studio Ghibli and Lupin the 3rd I appreciate this film for a number of reasons. I collect Miyazaki films and This one is great, but it doesn't evoke the same glory as some of the late Ghilbi fims.

The Castle of Cagliostro is a Must Have for Any Anime Collection... Great Story... Great Characters... Great Movie...
