The animation is just as beautiful as you would expect from a Ghibli film, but while some of the characters might be cute, i found overall both their personalities and the story to be quite forgettable. Not up to par with the classics in the Ghibli library.

Wonderful story of a young girl who does the right thing, but isn't sure it was worth the consequences. It revolves around a school girl who is kidnapped and a kingdom of cats. Magical characters with unique personalities. There are some amusing and many strange incidents for the young heroine. Shows children that it is always best to have confidence and believe in yourself. Really great if you or your child are a cat lover!

I would highly recommend all of ghibli's movies. This is one of my favorites probably because I'm a cat lover and this story line is well written and cute. It's been on my shelf since they relased it. The dvd recently became unplayable due to heavy use and I"ll have to rebuy it soon.

Its an intersting movie, it moves pretty fast thru the story, but since my kids watched it they kept pace very well. There is great voice acting. My kids sat down and actually watched this movie, Havent seen that since they enjoyed PONYO. I would recommend this to any parent wanting something for there kids to watch (more geared towards girls)

Never disappointed with Ghibli movies. This has always been one of my favorites. I bought the dvd because most streaming services only have it in English. I want the Japanese no subtitle version.

Perhaps not one of their most beloved features, but definitely worth watching. For the true enthusiastic watcher, you will note it is the same voice actor / character from Whisper of the Heart also by Studio Ghibli.

Another fantastic story from studio ghibli where a young girl saves a cat and find out theres more to it than she realized when she is proposed to by the prince of cats and adventure follows

Hayao Miyazaki’s The Cat Returns is fun for the whole family!

Easily recommended to anyone with an interest in anime or happiness.
