Billie Holiday is probably the most influential female singer in the past 100 years, particularly in the field of jazz. This collection shows just how unique she was when it comes to timing, phrasing, and interpreting the feeling of the music.

Although, the preference seems to have shifted for many listeners, I enjoy CD’s especially on long trips or I just have that need to here a specific artist. Here’s a wonderful collection that hits the mark!

Truly enjoyed listening to this cd. The music takes me back in time

A great collection for any fan, a person looking to get into and/or simply want some have some of Billie Holliday's most well known music. Having another collection of music from 1935-1958, I noticed this Centennial version actually included some tracks that I had wanted to own. if you recently watched and were moved by The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021), this is especially great to own, as it has many of the songs played in the movie. Given the decline of CD inventory across stores, when you find this gem, definitely pick it up.
