Very, very detailed look at history of Star Trek from the Original Series through current. Every episode contained information new to me; even about Roddenberry’s well documented struggles with addictions and with evolution/change to his original concepts. The insider interviews concerning that change are fascinating; especially in light of the current series. The documentaries are professional. We see the warts as well as what went well. Most importantly, there is enough time to pay attention to details. There is so much here for fans!

you won't find a more in-depth Star Trek documentary series than this. 4 discs of 11 approximately hour-long chapters that get into the history of Trek from early Roddenberry tv to recent times. Includes three extra interviews with Leonard Nimoy, Nichelle Nichols, and Kirstie Alley. For the true trekker not to miss.

Excellent series. There's so much that I didnt know before watching this. For every Trekkie, its a must buy.

This is a great show about history of Star Trek never a big star trek fan but this documentary gave me new appreciation

I always watch all the "making of" extras on the Star Trek DVDs/Blu-Rays. I expected to see a repeat of things I had seen before, but I was surprised! This was an in-depth look at TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, and ENT. It went into studio issues, fan responses, actors complaints/complements. Gates McFadden did an excellent job narrating it with interesting comments and highlights - many of which I had never heard before. I only hope they update it at the 60 year point so that it includes DISCO, Picard, and hopefully STL (Legacy).
