    I've read the Robert cormier book and watched this movie in high school. Own the vhs, laser disc, and DVD. This is the best picture quality and sound yet, even a big step up the vudu and prime digital release before. Great performance by ilan Mitchell Smith, wallace Langham, and John Glover and the whole cast. Prefect soundtrack from classical to 80s hits by yaz and Peter Gabriel. Running up that hill by Kate Bush also featured as the end credits 30 plus years before stranger things season 4. Few nitpicks are there were couple typos in the eng closed caption, and no new bonus contents except the director commentary and interviews (very informative and insightful) from previous DVD release. Still a much needed upgrade and must have collection.

    Running up that hill was used to great effect here… decades before Stranger Things. Such a good coming of age story, very well done. I remember seeing this and it was one of the first times I looked up the director after seeing a movie, and who knew!? Good for him and great job.

    It’s about time this got an upgrade of any kind. The story has always been a favorite with its honesty and real life situations.

    Hidden gem 80s movie, that action has a lot to say about bon conformity.
