Best '80s Movie Ever!!

I've seen a lot of movies from the '80s, but I must say that this is the best one that I've ever seen. Based on one of the greatest books ever written (The Chocolate War by: Robert Cormier) but don't worry, if you haven't read the book, you don't have to go rushing out to read the book before you see the movie. In fact I saw the movie before I read the book. I was so excited to find out the movie finally came out DVD. I have seriously been wishing for this to happen for years. I had the movie on VHS, but with VHS player becoming more and more difficult to find I was glad to finally discover this movie on DVD. I highly recommend that everyone give this movie a try. You willl NOT be disappointed. Believe me.

The Book Was So Much Better

Here's one movie adaptation that just isn't even close in terms of quality when compared to the book on which it's based. Highly doubtful that a remake is in the works, I guess those who want to really experience this material properly will need to read the Cormier novel, and I also recommend reading the sequel too, titled 'Beyond the Chocolate War.'
