Best films of all times I would highly recommend this movie

The BBC series captures the innocence, the adventure, and the peculiarly British charm of the books. Also, much like Peter Jackson's new Lord of the Rings movies, it replaces lengthy expository text with beautiful scenery and intricately designed props, keeping the plot advancing steadily. Though there are some groan-worthy bits of melodramatic line delivery, the acting is overall quite good, and there is a standout performance by Tom Baker (known to many SF fans as the fourth Doctor Who) as Puddleglum the Marshwiggle in The Silver Chair. The only thing to complain about is that they never got to make the other three books.

I have great fond memories of watching these on PBS every year as a child. Do they hold up to the big budget movie versions, not really so much, but I still enjoy them immensely. I showed them to my 10 year old and he loves them as much as I did. They run a bit longer as they were miniseries. This gives more time to develop the characters. The price for all for together is amazing as well!

I have always enjoyed the Disney version of Narnia, but British BBC is just as good. Love BBC movies and programming and they did not disappoint with the Narnia collection which includes 4 movies! (For a fantastic price at Best Buy- I got this for $4.99 - unbelievable!)

Worth buying and a great price now. This has lots of entertainment value and the story moves along at a great pace. It is the BBC version, so the accents can get a tad hard to understand, but overall it is a good film.

I have been wanting the originals so my son can watch what I watched growing up. Don't get me wrong I like the new versions too but I like the originals too. I hope everyone gets to appreciate the originals as much as I do.

Its a heart-warming childrens fantasy with a great deal of fantasy and adventure involving each of the three children differently. This is a great experience for the child and the child at heart.

Dated material based on the Naria Book series. Worth seeing if you like the books but there are better Movies made about the material

Love this set of discs. A great deal at Best Buy and can't wait to start re-watching it again. Appropriate for kids. Fantastic deal.

I like this movie way better than the recent ones. They can be a bit awkward at times, but they do a reasonable job at capturing the wonder of the book. Worth watching on a rainy day. :)

If you like The Chronicles of Narnia Films from BBC Version, you should get the DVD because it has all four films and a bonus disc with bunch of special features.

This was a gift for one who is a fan of C.S Lewis' novels. He was pleased with the series' faithfulness to the books.

These DVDs follow the books much more than from another publisher. The video quality is good. Our grand kids love the series.

These three movies were some of my favorite childhood movies. And I still love these movies!
