First, about the DVD itself. I'm usually not a fan of double-sides discs. I occasionally have problems with them skipping or freezing. Fortunately, I had no problem with this one. Also the prints appear a bit dated. The quality is only a modicum better than a VHS tape. As for the movies, they are both gems. Although they are well aware they are making a comedy, the stars play their parts seriously, which make the films all the more funny. Price does have a tendency to over-exaggerate his facial expressions a bit as though to say "see, this is funny", but that is easily overlooked for all the laughs these two films provide. Then there's Jack Nicholson with one of his very early screen appearances in "The Raven", in a supporting part as Peter Lorre's bumbling son. Both films are highly recommended. "The Raven" is good fun for all ages. "Comedy of Terrors" is a bit more graphic and might not be suitable for pre-teens.
I would recommend this to a friend

The Raven is Really cool when Vincent Price & Boris Karloff have their duel of magic. But the movie has really nothing to do about Poe's poem though. A must have for any collection. The Comedy of Terrors movie is hilarious. I just might purchase an extra copy of this DVD.
