Saw this a long time ago and had the earlier DVD - Blue Ray is nice and contains special features as well - some really funny moments in the film but the soundtrack is spectacular if you like R&B !!

Just great fun film from top to bottom. The performances, the comedy and the story arcs are just perfect, telling the story of people trying to get together for the love of music and fame.

I have been a fan of The Commitments since it came out, yet had never owned a copy of it. While in Best Buy, I happened to spot it on Blu Ray for $19.99. Watched it that very night

Stoked it is on Blu Ray. I bought online on DVD a year ago and still bought BLu Ray and have no regrets. Story is fun. Music is fantastic and humor is pervasive. Get it!

They told a great story about the Commitments and how they got started and how they ended. The music was fantastic and I would definitely recommend this to any music lover.

Excellent disc of a great movie. The sound and video are a solid upgrade over the DVD and there are tons of special features.

This is a fun story how one person decides to put together a rock n' roll band in the early 60's in Ireland. The trials and tribulations along with fragile egos clash head on, but somehow make great rock n' roll r&b combination. It's the greatest band that never was.

I had the VHS, the DVD and now the Blu Ray. Music us great, the acting is fine. And it tells a good coming of age story.

Very nice picture quality and sound. When I say nice PQ I mean for a 25-year old film. Wonderful musical about an Irish Soul band. Directed by Alan Parker, who also directed Mississippi Burning, Angel Heart, Pink Floyd The Wall, and Midnight Express.

This is one of the great music films of all time. The music is fabulous, old soul that doesn't go out of style.
