I have always been fascinated by the Warrens and their work. I truly believe in ghost and demons, so I very much enjoyed this movie. I also liked the real interviews with the actual family and Mrs. Warren herself on the special features. If you are into any of these things then you will enjoy this movie very much.

This movie is not only based on a "true" story but really does send chills down your spine. I am a huge fan of scary movies even though a lot of them are kind of corny, however, this one is pretty good. "Annabelle" which is the "prequel" but came out after this movie is just as equally scary in my opinion.

Here again we get a conjuring film that gives us more than we expected! Here we are given a drive to vanquish evil and watch the undoing of a family and the saving of two!

I'm not a big fan of horror movies, but because this one is based on the life and work of a couple paranormal experts in real life, it really is worth watching. The story is great, the acting is great, and it's not so scary that it makes you not want to see it. Very well made movie and worth it!

The Conjuring is a great movie for when you want to watch a scary movie, it has a good plot and storyline and explains everything that happens and most of it is believable which is hard for a scary movie. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson are great as ghost hunters who help the family in trouble.

Wow! Who says they don't make scary movies any more. Point blank period, keep the lights on when you watch this one unless you have a projector. Its not a game its an adult movie and some screen may xause brown spotting if you catch my drift. Enjoyed it throughly except for the brown stains!

I remember watching this late at night when it first came out when I was 11 and I couldn’t sleep the entire night. Now I can sleep after I watch this film but it’s one of the few paranormal movies I actually like

I love scary movies and I can usually watch them without getting too freaked out myself, but this movie scares me EVERY SINGLE TIME! The Conjuring is a suspenseful and terrifying movie with wonderful actors and perfect sets to really put you in the characters' shoes.

I am a fan or horror and sound. the movie is great but the picture and sound quality are even better. A must have for home theater enthusiast and movie collectors

This horror film is a great one for October or anytime really. Actual fun scares without the blood and guts routine. The so called 'True story" feels believeable enough to be one. Great acting and directing all around and would recommend this film to anyone over the age of 14.

This is a ghost/haunting story done at its best. Remember the name James Wan, and watch any of his previous movies. So creepy, but as in his other directed films, he doesn't have to rely on gratuitous gore or violence. Vincent Price would be proud.

This should be in every horror movie lover's library! It's such a great movie that none of its sequels and spin-offs have yet to equal it, and tbqh none of its sequels and spin-offs even come close to this movie's greatness.

I think that this is one scary movie! The suspense is great and I am fan Vera Framiga. She is excellent in this film. I'm getting ready to see The Conjuring 2 this weekend and I expect it to be just as good. I highly recommend that you give this DVD a try.

I takes an awful lot to scare ME and this did not do the trick!!! Almost everyone that I know that has seen this film says that it scared the mess out of them!!! I will say however, that it is pretty darn "CHILLING" to say the least...especially considering that the events are base on actual occurrences - SERIOUSLY!!!

Without giving much away, this is a good suspense-building story with a great overall feel and a few choice scares without constantly making you jump like other modern horror stories fall back on. Being based on a real life series of events also helps, hopefully more movies will be made based on the cases the Warrens conducted over the years.

This is a perfect movie night film if you are into the stories from Ed and Lorraine Warren. This film details a family with a farmhouse that its original owner has taken the form of an evil spirit and does not want the family there. Very scary.

We love both The Conjuring, Conjuring 2, Annabelle, etc. I've watched this many times, of course, the first time was the best! Kept me on the edge of my seat the entire movie. Love the actors that play Ed and Lorraine Warren!

This horror movie was just ok...Nothing too special.

Amazing movie. Worth watching and the prequel to the Conjuring series tells it all in the story of how it all began. Highly recommended to watch with friends and family!

It's a good scary movie to have in your collection. It creates a sense of excitement of what is the unknown. It can psychologically scare you. Fully recommended for anyone who wants to have a great time watching scary movies.
