I saw this movie and loved it. I really enjoy getting scared and this movie did it for me. I love that there was a back story to tell and explain what caused this family to be terrorized. This is one of the creepiest films I have seen and it was great!

So I wasn't sure going into this movie about the plot. You know there have been a lot of ghost stories involving a family buying a haunted house and then dealing with the ghosts. This story actually works. It scares the heck out of you at times and makes you connect with the family and the "hunters". Definitely worth the purchase!

this movie is average for those who enjoy horror movies

The film isn’t anything new. But you better believe that it takes what it wants to be and does it the best it’s been done. The Conjuring is one of the best horror films in the past several years and easily the best ghost haunting movie in decades.

I watched this movie 3 times and each time it made me jump. I shared it with my adult daughters and they both thought it was good and scary. I would agree with some that it has some of the other demon possession movie parts, but it was still it's own. The movie was believable and the acting was good. I could watch it again.

I haven't seen a movie that was as frightening as the excorsist, being an avid horror fan, that has meant a lot of disappointing movies...im not saying it is scary in the exact same way, but I was startled more than a few times and LOVED it!

If you understand the movie I’d recommend you guys to watch the series in order first. This movie was very well made with great jump scares and thrilling scenes. 10/10

For someone who usually laughs at most modern horror movies, I highly enjoyed it. Director James Wan did an excellent job with everyone involved in this movie, probably one of the best horror film in the last 15 years.

This will be remembered as one of the better horror films of the 2000 era. James Wan masterpiece directed the heck out of this film. Not drive by cheap scares but more by story and setting.

This movie illicits many responses. I love chilling thrillers. Love to be scared and caught off guard. My wife hates these types of movies, so I enjoy letting them play with surround sound loud enough for her not to be able to get away.

Good horror movies are hard to come by. Even though the real life events this movie is based off of can be up to debate how things really occurred, the movie is a very good horror/suspense movie. A little bit of a slow build up but the pacing gets better. Overall I would recommend this.

I adore this movie and the storyline. It was the only movie that was able to give me a good jump scare. This was the most interesting movie i had seen in a while. Im a proud owner of this movie and i can watch it over and over.

I would put this film up there with insidious for scary. We enjoy our fright nights and this one had us screaming. Unlike a lot of new horror films that try to scare you with sudden loud noises or things popping out of no where, this film is just spooky. Truly a great horror film, not for the faint of heart.

They dont make horror movies like this anymore!!! Highly recommend this movie, one of my time favorite for sure!! All conjuring movies are highly recommended!!

Based on a true story. This is a movie about an experience Ed and Lorraine Warren had with this particular family. Google Ed and Lorraine Warren, very interesting couple. This movie gives you goose bumps! Great cast!

I don't want to give anything away incase someone hasn't seen it but if you like/love scary movies this is a great one! It's one of the best that's been released in the last few years! And it's a true story!

Not one for this type of movie but my daughter convinced me to watch it. Very suspenseful movie. I really enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I bought it on blu ray to have in my library of movies!

This movie covers one of the least talked about cases hat the Warrens were involved in. It does not rely on cheap scares or shaky camera work to elicit a response instead it has a great story. I highly reccomend this movie.

If you would like to have the "jump" and "terrror" factor of a movie you can watch in the dark, this is it. Not a bloody gore fest like the SAW series, though it's partly from it's creators, this is a more gripping horror flick that starts to make you look in your closet and under your bed.

I purchase horror movies fairly frequent and this movie is one of the few that genuinely scares me. Great movie, great acting, the background music is so creepy. All in all I highly recommend this movie!
