this movie is based on a true story, with that being said it is truly one of the scariest movies i've seen in some time. lock your doors and cuddle up with someone you love. this one is a doozy.

This movie does a wonderful job recreating the story and events that took place in a house that was haunted by demonic spirits. It is scary and has several moments where you jump. Great thriller that keeps you engaged.

If you believe in the after life watch this movie because it will scare you! Based on true case studies of a couple of paranormal experts. It's freaky to think of the things out there that we can't see normally.

I had no expectations going into,this film. It exceeded my non expectations. It was entertaining and there were several solid sub plots. Additionally, the acting is great, this was refreshing.

This was a nice change in the Horror genre from a lot of the recent releases. Based on true events, which doesn't mean the story is true, but the movie has some basis of what happened. What I really liked was that there wasn't a lot of the traditional lame scare tactics. Good watch.

I had been meaning to get this movie for the longest, but I never did, and then the price went up. Got the 2nd one on a sale forever ago, and finally saw the right price on this!!

The Conjuring is a classic film of the Horror milieu, resuscitating this all too often predictable film genre. Using suspense and sheer terror to earn it's R rating.

I'm an old school slasher fan. That being said, most of today's horror is a let down. No so with The Conjuring. This is a refreshingly uneasy romp through ghosts and devils, and the cast is superb.

I have watched a lot of horror movies over the years. It takes a lot to creep me out. This movie has some very unnerving and creepy moments. I just saw the sequel and I liked it even more.

Excellent Blu-Ray edition of a a compelling supernatural thriller. Probably the best horror film dealing with demonic possession since "The Exorcist"! Informative extras included with the Blu-Ray edition.

Great horror franchise . This one started the journey into horror by restless , unhappy , angry spirit. Creepy , scary , jolting , suspenseful . Must watch. Happy Halloween.

The movie was fantastic!! I enjoyed the storyline, visual affects and of course the convincing acting. When I watch a scary movie. I don't like cheesy effects or actors who aren't meant for the role.

Great to see an intense scary movie that had a great story & was well directed. There's plenty of things that made my wife jump, which is my favorite part about watching any horror movie. Not sure how realistic the "true story" stuff is, but it made for a good movie.

Classic horror movie at a great price from Best Buy. This one started the series with great acting in a creepy setting.

This was one of the best movies i have seen in a while! being based on true events made it that much more intense! one of those movies you can watch over and over and still get more out of it.

This is a horror flick that will be an instant classic! It is extremely creepy, scary and keeps you guessing! I highly recommend it (especially over the disappointing sequel "Annabelle")
