The Council - Incomplete Edition

Firstly, this is definitely worth the low cost of $19.99. It's a fantastic adventure game in the vein of Telltale's games, but it offers more complexity with role-playing systems such as classes, skills, etc. It's a fair amount of game, with lots of replayability due to the different choices you can make, the 3 different classes you can play as, and the skills you can unlock.
Secondly, the story, characters, and art direction are phenomenal. The amount of art crammed into a game of this cost is really impressive. That said, the voice acting can sometimes be much less impressive. The story, however, delivers, IMO.
Thirdly, I should mention the negative. While this game has 5 episodes, only 4 are on the disc, while 1 must be downloaded. It's not available via a code, but it automatically downloads as soon as you insert the disc into your console. This is odd because the 5th chapter has been out since December. If you, like me, bought this to have all of the episodes on the disc, this'll disappoint you -- but it's still better than the alternative (everything digital-only).
Lastly, I'd recommend this game wholeheartedly if you're into this kind of game. It's inexpensive, it's fun to explore, it's great to see how your choices impact the story -- and they do, and the story is very interesting.

This game was purchased in hopes that it would be like some of the Sherlock video games. It lives up to the expectation! Very interactive, lots of decisions to make, and tons of clues to sort out. It is engrossing though; you may play for 4-5 hours before realizing time has passed!

The Council is an "episodic style" game based in the 1970s. This game is very similar to the games from Telltale Studios, where your choices in the game impacted the story later on. The Council improves significantly on what Telltale built, and the mechanics are a little different than what we are used to. These changes end up being a good thing. If you like the Telltale games like Walking Dead and Wolf Within, give The Council a try.

I haven't played this all the way through yet, but so far it's pretty fun. I would have liked a warning not to use the health stuff so much because it makes you drunk. I'm going to start over now that I know that, but the graphics are decent and running around the island is fun.

There are a few glitches but the storyline is fun. I haven't completed the game yet but I enjoy the story. It reminds me of the book you choose your path and the ending changes based off your choices.

Fun and interesting game that sucks you right into the story. Make decisions but be careful cuz every move and choice you make effects how you play the game and what happens..

Graphically it ain't all that pretty. Story wise though, it's fairly interesting. Think of this in the same style as the Tell Tale Games developers. I got it for cheap and was happy.

The game was obviously produced by a smaller team with a limited budget. Despite its flaws, the game has an interesting visual style and excellent presentation of an engrossing story.

This features an interesting tale full historical people with robust and neat RPG/conversation systems. The lackluster voice acting does dampen the experience.
