The Crow (1994) is a beautifully-crafted neo-noir film that is held dearly to many people's hearts, due to the tragic death of its star, Brandon Lee. Putting the tragedy aside for a moment, this film has its own nostalgia, as it was sort of trailblazing for the subsequent increase in this type of modern day neo-noir style. I consider this film to be a classic, and not just a cult film. Lee's performance was spectacular, and really complements the film's premise of revenge in a dark world. There's action aplenty, and the sets are very realistic and inviting. This blu ray release is essential, because the sound and picture quality are pristine. Some movies are meant for blu ray, and this is one of them. There are quite a few special features that make this purchase that much more interesting: audio commentary, behind the scenes, extended scenes, deleted footage, poster, storyboards, and theatrical trailer. Don't miss The Crow on blu ray; it's one of the best blu ray releases ever!
