For the first time since it's original debut on CD, The Cry Of Love has been remastered and rereleased. Obviously not as full as the official 1997 First Rays Of The New Rising Sun, (which features all songs here) which was how it was originally to be released, but still a nice recognition of how it was originally put out in 1971. If Janie really wants to make more money on rereleases, then do so with out of print albums such as this. We got Rainbow Bridge. Now we need stuff like War Heroes and Loose Ends.

For the die-hard fan or the average classic rock fan looking to broaden their appreciation of Hendrix's musicianship.

Always nice to listen to unheard Hendrix recordings. Although not one of his more exceptional ones, still worth adding to the collection.

For a better overview, I'd recommend First Rays Of The New Rising Sun. That's what this release was intended to be at first, but tracks were scattered onto other posthumous releases throughout the years. This release though serves as a sampler of First Rays.

Very good album. I like Jimi Hendrix. Greatest guitarist ever.

It was good to hear this album again ,after not being available on CD.

Now i finally have this album on CD.. Jimi Hendrix a man gone way to soon.

Highly recommended! Original album and in it's entirety as in 1971.
