I was so excited about this release as the last bluray for The Dark Crystal was nearly 10 years ago. The studio decided to remaster from the original film negative and the results are so awesome. For the 4k bluray the use of Dolby vision makes colors vibrant. For instance the purple of the crystal itself is deeper. Instead of one hue of purple the dolby vision allows many hues of purple to be seen in the image of the crystal. If you don't have a 4k tv with dolby vision you don't miss out on the coloring improvements from the 4k remaster either. If you dont have a 4k tv or 4k ultra bluray player the new remaster is included on a bluray. I compared the old bluray with the newly remasters bluray and improvements are very evident. If you love this film like me you should buy it!

Excellent case and supplements - the film looks a bit soft, but given that it's from 1982, that's to be expected. Story is OK - may be too scary for small kids.
