I got The Dark Night Trilogy for my 50th birthday as a gift from my son. This is the most exiting package because you can see all the movies back to back. I love the extras , deleted scene, commentaries and its hrs and hrs of exiting stuff. If you are a super hero movie kinda guy or girl you won't be disappointed.

There are some great trilogies but only "LOTR" and "TDK" are nearly flawless. The Original "Star Wars" has "The Return of the Jedi" holding it back while "The Godfather" and "Spider-Man" are nearly crippled by their "Part III"s. While "LOTR" is pretty close to perfect (particularly when Extended), "Return of the King" does have 5-6 endings which do drag the film out. "TDK" trilogy is the only one with only nitpicks holding them back. "Batman Begins" has less compelling villains and a horribly miscast Katie Holmes, but is still a spectacular film. 4.5/5 rating. "The Dark Knight" is only held back a horribly miscast Maggie Gyllanhal and a Gotham City that looks a little less "Blade Runner" and more Chicago than before. Everything else about the film-acting, directing, script, cinematography, action sequences, EVERYTHING!- is mindboggingly spectacular. 5/5 Rating. "The Dark Knight Rises" has a terrible reputation amongst super fanboys (aka Dingbats) but is the only second sequel that not only lives up to the previous entries, but come close to exceeding them. While I have some nitpicks that linger in the back of my head as I watch, the only one really worth mentioning is that Gotham is full on Pittsburgh in this film, with next to no changes. Everything is darn near perfect- a perfectly cast female lead!- and it is so good, neither my brother and I can decide which is the superior film of the three (we tend to lean slightly on "TDKR" more often honestly). 5/5 rating. The bonuses are what have been on the previous releases plus hours more. There are some more entertaining than others, but all in all they are spectacular. There is an illuminating picture book, villain posters by MONDO, and die cast vehicle replicas (aka Hot Wheels) included as well. If you can afford it, BUY THIS PACK NOW!

Wow, this is an awesome set, there are so many wonderful specials in the set that it's a must have for any true Batman fan. The packaging is amazing, the prints are awesome, the bonus footage and discs (especially the Trilogy Bonus Disc) are outstanding... warning though, if you don't want to spoil the movie magic, you might want to skip those parts. Suspension of disbelief, is easier not knowing how the special effects are done, but knowing how they are created, gives you a whole new respect and insight into the movies. I just can't say enough good things about all the extras that you get! The only thing that disappointed me a little bit, was the vehicle reproductions. They weren't made for this special boxed set. One is marked Hot Wheels even. That said, it's the high end Hot Wheels, not the 97 cents ones you picked up as a kid. Hearing the thoughts, goals and desires of the creators, directors, writers, actors, etc. is simply amazing. Seeing behind the curtain, to understand more deeply each scene, costume, actor choice, etc. enriches the entire movie(s) experience. Buy it for yourself or as a gift, you can't go wrong!

Not only with the movies, but there are hours and hours of special features included too, including a documentary about the Batmobile. The Ultimate Collector's Edition, which won't be released for another year will no doubt cost at least twice as much. The only thing I have a problem with here is the cover art. It just doesn't look anything like Nolan's Batman.

If you're a Batman fan, this needs to be part of your collection. I own the first Dark Knight trilogy gift set but it does not compare to this one. The added interviews and behind the scenes are great; the included artwork is incredible along with the miniature vehicles.

Previously, I bought the smaller boxed set that came with a small booklet. I thought that was a good deal at $35, and it was. But then this set went on sale for $50 (I think they closed it out) and it was an even better deal! For fans of this trilogy, there is no better set you can purchase. The art prints are wonderful, and the toy vehicles are a nice touch. Oh yeah, the movies are good too!

There's not much to say about the films. After all, anyone who wants to buy this clearly enjoys the films. There's not much to say there. The transfers on these discs are exactly the same as every previous release. WB just used now disc art for this release. That means that the aspect ratio switches during both The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. That seems to be an issue for some people. In addition, the transfer for the Dark Knight still looks questionable. The picture quality is way better during the IMAX shots on that one. WB really should do a new transfer of The Dark Knight. The variable aspect ratio is great. The look of the picture, however, isn't. The new bonus disc really isn't worth the purchase if one already has an earlier release. The discussion between Nolan and director Richard Donner is entertaining. It's also fascinating that Donner's Superman film influenced Nolan given the fact that Nolan's films in general are so dark and dreary, while Donner's Superman is really the opposite tonally. The feature on the impact of Nolan's trilogy if fine. It's way less back patting and self congratulation than one might think going in. It's actually got some decent behind the scenes footage and insight into the making of the trilogy. The IMAX scenes in their true aspect ratio probably won't interest most people. It's nice to see, but most people likely won't care. As for the packaging, it's really big. The book which houses the discs is designed to with the disc art in mind. Essentially, the disc art completes the image on each page. It's a nice idea, but it just seems sort of uninspired. The photo book is just that... a book of photos from the making of the film. Honestly, most of these images are likely easily found online. The letter from Chris Nolan is exactly what it sounds like. Finally, there are small reproductions of the vehicles from the films. They're fine, but not really anything special. All in all, this isn't much of an upgrade. Stick with a standard edition of each movie.

I wanted this box set for Xmas! My wife made it happen! I loved all 3 movies and loved the way the box looked along with all the goodies. If you're a fan of the Dark Knight movies, this set is WORTH the money!!!

They don't call this an "ultimate" collector's edition for nothing! It has tons of extras on the DVDs, especially for The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises. You also get a high quality print book of production photos of the films and miniature models of the tumbler and bat-cycle. Definitely worth the price of the set.

Once I recieved my package, the box was bigger than I thought. The details with the artwork, and even the extra little batmobile diecast cars exceeded the quality of what I thought they would be. I have the collectors set for The Avengers, but this Batman collection was far better. Great set to have.

Includes blu rays and digital copies of all three movies as well as some great extras and memorabilia. Fans of the series will not be disappointed. The case also looks great in my film collection.

I'm a sucker for collectors editions. If you are too, I'm sure you have this too. Even if you aren't and you're needing this trilogy for your movie collection, get THIS bundle. Would not be disappointed, unless your favorite batman was George Clooney ...

I am happy with the item. I have avoided buying the disk seperate when they came out. I have heard of the ultimate box so I waited. Well worth the wait. Could have been a fancier box. But, happy overall.

A friend had got this and told me to check it out. I'm a huge batman fan, always have been. Was pleasantly surprised at all of the stuff that came in this limited edition. Truly an amazing collectible for any fan of batman and/or Nolan ' s Dark Knight trilogy.

Perfect for batman fans of all ages. Some of the best movie all packaged together with a ton of extras.

This is the ultimate edition of the Dark Knight Trilogy. Everything about this edition is perfect from the replicas in the bottom to the art and design book placed in the center. Any and all Dark Knight fans must have this in their collection

I was super excited when I saw this set for sale as I loved each of the films. The set itself is great includes a really nice book to hold the films in and a few extras. Well worth it for anyone who enjoyed the dark knight films.

By far the best Batman series EVER. The plots, the pacing, the character development. Top Notch. Action scenes are phenomenal. This is a MUST own. The extras are great, even the little vehicles. I'm so glad I bought this series.

You get three of the best movies of all time in a nice artful book. A rich art book is included, along with propaganda flyers of the iconic villains. The toy vehicles are cool, but wish the Batpod was more like movie representation.

This set is awesome all three movies on Blu Ray plus a nice booklet comic pictures and vehicle models from each movie definitely a great set for a dark knight trilogy fan
