Bought as a gift for family member. Plot seems decent and quality of film is pretty good. Bought it on sale and not much else to say.

Awesome story and well directed!! This movie is balanced and well told. Keeps you on the edge of your seat at times.

While it's not a great adaptation of the unique world Stephen King set up in the Dark Tower book series, I thought this film was promising if not somewhat flawed. Ultimately, it felt a little too sci-fi for what was originally a more fantasy influenced world. All that in mind, I think Elba was a great choice for the role of Roland and he's my favorite part of the movie. And the steelbook is beautiful!

Frankly I didn't have very high expectations for this movie, so was pleasantly surprised to find that I enjoyed it.

This movie shows the depth that Stephen King has as he writes his stories. Everything is interconnected and has meaning. Although this movie hits on almost all of King's novels and movies, even those that aren't fans can enjoy it.

The Dark Tower movie did a good job adapting the Stephen King books to the big screen. King fans will be pleased.

The blu ray was a great source for the film to be seen, picture was great. But the film was just alright.

Fans of Stephan King's novel series "The Dark Tower" have been waiting patiently for a quality film adaptation for years, but I'm sorry to report that this isn't it. At a meager 1 hour and 30 minutes, there's no way they could pack everything in and it shows. Idris Elba and Matthew Mcconaughey clearly do their best with the script, but they weren't given enough to work with here. Attempts are made to reference "The Shining" and "It", as the Dark Tower series does take place in the same universe...sadly, it's not enough to add validity. "The Dark Tower" should've at least been a trilogy of decent-length movies to do justice to the books, but this is a watered-down, teen-friendly one-off that more closely resembles "The Golden Compass" or "Eragon" than the dark and weird imagination of Stephan King. Disappointing. Hardcore 'King fans may still want to check it out, if only to poke fun and laugh at its flaws. Otherwise, it's just another failed cash-grab that'll find its way to the bargain bin all too soon.

It was a very good movie with alot of action. a movie that i did not know the ending before hand.

This was a great telling of a Stephen King story. Matthew McConaughey was very good and dark, Idris Elba was very good as kind of a reluctant hero, with his own agenda. Movie did the books justice.

Decent adaption of King's series. You can only do so much in a movie and it is worth watching.

If you like the two main characters ( Matthew and Idris) the shoot-up battle they have is very COOL! Never seen anybody load a six shooter that fast and that cool. The evil one was no Joke!

If you like Stephen King, you will usually enjoy his movies. Good flick, stayed interesting.

Read the book. Didn’t think the movie would do it justice. I actually liked the movie better which never happens. McConaughey and Elba did the characters justice. Buy it already!
