    It is one of the Stephen King movies and different than his Horror/Scary movies.

    Stephen King, what else can I say?! I personally love the Gunslinger series...though I read it over 20 years ago...I love that they are trying to adapt it to the big screen!

    like whats his face's name and that other dude from day of training with denzel. other guy should have been denzel. then it would have been ok cool. now its just ok ok kinda ok ok.

    I had low expectations of the Dark Tower based on what I heard, and being a huge fan of the book series. It definitely departs from the books significantly. But if you disconnect yourself from it, and just take it for what it is, it is a fun action movie with some inventive ideas and several fun performances.

    Before watching this I had no idea that this was based on a Stephen King series of novels. I am not a fan of his books and so not surprisingly found this to be a science fiction version of High Noon, but this time the gunslinger wore a long black coat as opposed to a white hat. Light fare for a rainy day.

    Great movie if you have read and loved the books. If you have not read them, I highly recommend it before watching the movie. There is not learning curve with this one!
